Luis' POV
"Please... (deep breaths) take care of yourself. I promise you... (sob) this won't be the... (sob) last time that I will see you." as she said in a soft yet thousands of melancholy tones running on her voice. She started caressing my back. It was so nice, so warm... and so sincere.
"Wh... when will be that? Please, please stay with me." I desperately answered under my tears. I held her tightly and pleaded not to leave me.
She gazed at me intently for about seconds. Our eyes met and I clearly saw the signs of darkness and longingness. T'was clear as crystal that she doesn't want this kind of shitty situation. But hell! Why she needs to do this? A vague reflection painted all over our face.
She took once again deep breaths and smiled bitterly.
"No, sweetheart. I can't. I will always look after you. If time permitted us, I will see you again. I... promise you sweetie. Oh please... please, stop crying." She patted my back and lean closely on my shoulders.
There were myriad of thoughts swarming on my head. I want to scream at the top of my lungs for her to listen on my plead. I want to hold her with all of my strength for her to know that I don't want her to go... I want her to stay by my side. Now and always.
Was that hard?
A man in black trouser suit broke our conversation and entered in our house, clearing his throat.
"Excuse me ma'am, but we are running out of time." He said in a strong voice while glancing at his wrist watch.
"A moment please." she answered in monotone. "Oh dear... that's enough. Those men are waiting for me. I really have to go. I'll be back... soon." The moment she removed the clasped of her hand at me, I felt dumb and numb. My feet were shaking; my brain was still in the process of absorbing this absurd thing and my soul... I can't find it anymore.
She wiped my tears and helped me to stand up.
"You will be fine sweetheart. No matter what, you will always be in my heart. Always sweetheart." As she get her packed things and gave me once again a reassuring hug. "I love you Luis."
My tears kept on streaming down on my face. I can feel the sound of my heart, it was so loud and losing its sense why it is beating. I froze like a statue the time she closed softly the wooden door of our house. I heard the restarting of the car and footsteps moving away.
"I LOVE YOU LUIS!" A loud voice I comprehensibly heard outside. It was her.
"I love you Luis."
.
"I love you Luis."
.
"I love you Luis."
Those lines were kept on playing on my mind.
"Nah? She loves me? Then why she needs to do this?" As I regained my consciousness, I ran as fast as I could, open the door and stormed out.
The car was already heading but I dash furiously just to see her again.
"Stop the car! Stop! Please... Stop it!"
All I know was the tiny hope that left inside me.
"Please don't leave me." I mumbled under the beat of my heart.
I kept on running without minding my steps. My vision was a little blurry because of my weep. There were gabbles randomly scatter on the road so I stumbled on the ground and saw drops of blood flowing on my knee. It was so heavy to stand but I still manage to rise again and continue chasing her.
