---The Hallway---
I was walking down the hallway when I heard a conversation.
"Brendan, again?" Blanche said.
"Sorry, can't sleep unless I hug someone." Brendan said.
"Ugh... At this point, we're gonna get a bunk bed and you'll give your room to someone else." Blanche said.
So they're sleeping together? I wonder how Kristian would feel about this.
The conversation ended and Brendan entered Blanches' room. I continue to walk down the elevator and ended up on the floor where the lab is.
I can't sleep. I have this crazy feeling that I need some sort of weird weapon to defend myself from Amazon.
And this is coming from a dude being trained to be the next Maria Hill.
I broke in the lab and explored the room. So this is where Ellie, Brendan, Alva, and Lukas lock themselves too everyday.
"I had a feeling you'd show up." A voice startled me. It's Lukas.
"Hey, Alex. Why are you awake?" Lukas asked.
"Can't sleep. Gotta stop taking coffee during dinner time." I said. That's when I noticed a bunch of futuristic playing cards.
"What's this?" I asked, picking up the cards.
"Oh, Blanche created them out of boredom with leftover magic algorithm from the sling ring I stole. You just throw it and the object or person you hit with would be trapped inside the card." Lukas explained.
"Like this?" I threw the card at the toolbox and it created a spark as it traps the toolbox. It worked.
"Well, yeah. But you may wanna shake the card upside down." Lukas said and I did what I'm told. The toolbox got out of the card.
"Can I keep it. This could be my best chance of defending myself." I asked.
"I think Blanche wouldn't mind."
---Blanches' bedroom---
"Hey, Blanche." I kinda woke her up.
"Yeah?"
"The cards you made... Who did you made those for?" I asked.
"Oh, they're for Alex. But I really just made them out of sheer boredom."
"Really? I thought you made them as a back up to your gloves?" I asked, dazed and confused.
"Not really. Because, to be honest, Ilinca would be more like Oracle than Flying Carpet." She responded.
"But, Alex won't be flying right?"
"Which is why I created a new mantle that could fit for everyone, regardless of their country: Wild Card." She answered.
Wild Card? I guess it made sense.
