Chapter 6

"Th...The Fairy King's Forest!?" King yells.

"...yep." Ban nods.

"Wha-What are you talking about? The forest completely burnt down twenty years ago, and has been a barren land without a single blade of grass since then. I was there ten years ago and saw it with my very own eyes...What could you possibly do there now?" King explains.

"Why does it matter? It has nothing to do with you. Alright, see yaaa~" Ban waves.

I jump off King's pillow. This has something to do with Elaine, and I'm gonna come with him.

Behind me, King summons Oslo. That dog makes me nervous...

I follow Ban through the woods to a nearby stream. He shoves his head in, drinking water.

"Maaan! That was good!" He grins, lifting his head.

"You know this isn't the way to the Fairy King's Forest, right?" King asks.

"Oh, you're coming with us?" I ask, looking back.

Ban takes his pillow and uses it to dry his face and hair.

"DON'T USE SOMEONE'S SACRED TREASURE AS A TOWEL!!" King yells. I giggle and we continue on.

I jump down a rocky hill with Ban.

"Hey, where are you actually headed?" King asks, floating upside down.

"I saaaaid, the Fairy King's Forest." Ban grins.

"You're so annoying. How long are you going to follow us?" Ban asks.

"Until you tell me the truth." King answers.

"When have I ever lied to you?" Ban asks.

"When have you ever not lied." King replies sarcastically.

Ban sighs.

"Why can't you be more like your girlfriend? She's quiet and amicable." Ban shakes his head.

I smile. King is quiet for a moment.

"No, that won't work." He jokes.

"Ah, that's a shame~" Ban smiles to himself.

"Ban, you already have Elaine. What's that over there?" I point behind us. We've been followed.

Ban breaks a large rock, which our follower has been hiding behind.

"He...Hey!" A Holy Knight stands there.

"It's Janko." Ban says surprisedly.

"IT'S JERICHO!!" She corrects him.

"What are you doing here?" I narrow my eyes.

"I...I just happened to be wandering around the bar that you were staying at...Yeah. And then I saw you leaving to go somewhere so I was..." Jericho mumbles the rest.

"Huh?" Ban crosses his arms.

"I WAS CURIOUS SO I FOLLOWED YOU FOR A BIT!! YOU GOT A PROBLEM?" Jericho yells.

How is twenty miles "a bit"?

"Why are you following me?" Ban asks.

They stare at each other and Jericho blushes. Ooh, someone's got a crush~

"LIKE HELL IF I KNOW!! THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO KNOW!! ANYWAY, IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!! TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND TAKE ME WITH YOU!!" Jericho yells, pointing her finger at him.
