The Eighth Deadly Sin:Re (KingxOCxMeliodas)

Chapter 8

I'm sitting on a cliff with King and Jericho.

"How long do you plan on staying in the Fairy King's Forest?" King asks her.

"Ah? You got a problem?" Jericho looks over at him.

"...If you're not one of the select few who are invited by the King or Queen, you're nothing more than an unwelcome guest." King says.

"But aren't you an unwelcome guest too, Mister Fairy King?" Jericho counters. King falls silent.

"Don't be rude." I look over at her.

"I'll leave when Ban leaves." Jericho says simply.

"Jericho...Why do you even like Ban?" King stares at her. Jericho yells at King for saying that until she says something that disturbs me quite a bit.

"...Then I'll be with him until he's interested in me! I'm actually alive, so I have a leg up over some dead fairy girl!" Jericho crosses her arms proudly.

HOW DARE SHE?!

"HOW DARE YOU SAY SUCH A THING?! DON'T TALK ABOUT ELAINE IN THAT WAY!!" I screech and King has to hold me back.

"It's the truth." Jericho huffs.

"Ban will never love you." I say icily. Ban walks up to us and announces that once he's done what he needs to, he's leaving the forest. And he's not gonna go back to the tavern.

"I'm going to look for a way to revive Elaine. You two should get out of here soon too. Those fairies aren't doing anything because of me and Tsukiko, but they'd like nothing better than to chase you out of here." Ban explains.

"I'm coming with you!!" Jericho stands up.

"You've got nothing to do with me. If anyone were to come with, it should be Tsukiko." Ban shakes his head.

"But I do!! I owe my life to you!!" Jericho walks up to him.

"Like I care." Ban shrugs.

"Then...I'll let you have me as a disciple!" Jericho argues.

"What do you mean 'let you'" Ban rolls his eyes.

"Ban...Why don't you ask Merlin about Elaine? I'm sure she'll know something that'll be worth a try...And I'm sure Captain will lend you a hand too!!" King speaks up.

"I don't plan on going back to the Eight Deadly Sins." Ban says.

Oh...

"You need to make up with Captain!!" King raises his voice.

"I don't need to make up. It's not like we had a fight." Ban turns around.

"ISN'T CAPTAIN YOUR CLOSEST FRIEND?! I KNOW SOME THINGS HAPPENED BETWEEN THE TWO OF YOU, BUT I'M SURE HE'LL FORGIVE YOU!!" King yells after him.

"...That's why I don't wanna." Ban says.

"I DON'T GET YOU!! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S GOING TO REGRET THIS! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?!" King yells.

"If you got the time to babysit me, go back to the Boar Hat. After all, you're the one with a living loved one that you've gotta protect~" Ban says, walking away. King stares at me silently.

"I guess you're right." He flies over to me, smiling. I hold his hand.

Suddenly, I feel a searing pain in my back. I start screaming and I collapse on the ground.

It feels like...

King rushes to my side.

...my back's being ripped apart!!

I feel my eyes go dark and I scream and scream. I can't do anything else.

I feel something dark emerge from my back and I'm lifted into the air. King stares at me.

I hear a voice in my head.

My child...You've finally awakened. Now, take flight!

I'm dragged along as the dark things fly me in the air. King chases after me. I think I have wings?

I don't know...It's like I'm being controlled. Eventually, my wings tire and I fall to the ground as they reabsorb into my body.

King holds me in his arms, catching me.

"Oh Tsukiko...You've really done it now...We've gotta get you to Meliodas...You're like a real demon." I only hear bits and pieces of what he says before I close my eyes.
