Try not to cry over this chapter, okay?

"I think we have a name." Kim grins, looking at them all in the mirror.
"Yes we do." Amber smiles smugly, adjusting the band that keeps her fishtail braid together. It's crowded in the bathroom, with them all trying to get ready at once. Rebecca decided she didn't want to leave her bed, and wasn't going to tag along this time. But she had given her sister a smooth envelope with an address Amber didn't recognize, to take to the post office.
"I like it." Allyson mumbles, trying to make her hair less frizzy with water. "But I liked the idea of 'Bagels United' better."
"If I didn't know you, I'd think you were drugged up." Marilyn laughs, pulling out the last of her curlers.
"Hey, what day is it?" Kim pushes her way out of the bathroom and walks by the kitchen. She lifts up her head and squints her eyes, trying to see the date. "Uh, Amber? When's your birthday?"
"Hmm." Amber scratches her chin. "Wait. It's not today-"
"Yeah it is." Kimberly stands on the tips of her toes and takes the calender down. She quickly skips over to the bathroom, and points to the day with 'AMBER'S BIRTHDAY!' written on it in purple pen.
"It is my birthday!" She shouts excitedly, making Allyson cover her ears. So much had been going on lately, Amber had completely forgot about even her own birthday.
"And the car is already here to pick us up." Marilyn sighs, peeking out the bathroom window to the driveway. She quickly sets out a bowl of food for George and Ringo Jr., and kisses the tops of their heads. Marilyn has fallen in love with the new pets.
The second Amber steps out the door into the frigid February air, George hops out of the car and runs to her. He lifts her up and spins her around, purple hair flying in the wind. "Happy birthday!" Still holding her up, he brings her down slightly to have their noses touching.
"How did you know? Even I forgot!" Amber marvels at him.
"I just did. Don't question it." He smiles and kisses Amber gently before setting her on the ground again. She gingerly takes his hand and they walk to the car where the others have already taken shelter.
"I have two surprises for you tonight." George smiles widely at Amber, "And I know you'll love at least one."
"I don't like surprises." She moves closer to him.
"Don't lie to me." He wraps one arm around her shoulders.
"Can you wait until we're not as smooshed together before you start getting all lovey?" Kim groans, rolling her eyes.
"Yeah, it's making me sick." Marilyn says. Allyson nods and pretends to throw up. Mari grins at her and laughs.
"Fine." Amber crosses her arms over her chest, pretending to be upset.
The car ride passes by quickly, with small banter being tossed around. When they finally arrive, George squeezes Amber's hand and helps her out of the car.
"Are you ready?" He searches her eyes for something, maybe excitement.
"Ready as I'll ever be, I guess." She breathes, knowing George wouldn't do anything she won't like.
He opens the front door to the house, letting Mari, Kim, and Allyson in first. George squeezes Amber's hand once more, then leads her in.
At first, Amber doesn't know what she's seeing. But then a wave of happiness hits her suddenly, and she's in her father's arms. "Daddy! I've missed you so much!"
