Addison's POV
~~~~*~~~~
“You have to tell me what’s been going on! I haven’t seen you in forever!” Jess squeals and sits down on a couch in the living room.
“You have to catch me up on everything too! I still think you need to move to Florida. Just visiting isn’t enough.”
“But you know I can’t. We are tied down to Pittsburg.” She sighs. I join her on the couch and turn on the TV. After camp, Jess went to college in Michigan and met a perfect guy at a football player. Now, they live in Pittsburg, where he plays in the NFL on the Steelers. Happily married after college, they are now starting a family. “I can’t believe I am here right now! I was so worried we may not be able to come see you! Where’s Grace tonight? And where’s Tyler? I haven’t seen him in forever, I bet he’s even more gorgeous.”
“Here.” I hand her my phone and she instantly looks through photos.
“Holy shit, talk about perfection, that man-“
“That is my boyfriend and you are married and you are pregnant.” I say, rolling my eyes drastically.
Jess laughed and rested a hand on her large belly. “What’s Grace been up to lately? Is she still with Jake?”
“Yeah she is. Who would’ve thought? She’s out with him tonight, that’s why she couldn’t be here and Ty is working a late shift.”
“You forgot to mention he’s also a police officer.” Jess frowns at me and shows me a picture of Tyler and Titan out at at K-9 training day he had sent me.
“Whatever, you have a star NFL quarterback for a husband. I think he’s pretty great.”
“Yeah, just watch, one day in the soon, you’ll be married too and we’ll just be sitting here pregnant, catching up like tonight." She laughed.
“Aren’t you imaginative.”
“I am just too excited to see how perfect your children are going to be. The two of you are seriously going to make flawless children. Get married first! Or at least be engaged!"
“Now you sound like a parent.” I laugh.
“Well if you think about it, would you want your kid having a child before they were married or at least engaged? I know I wouldn’t. Get married first Addie.”
“Thanks for the advice Jess.”
She gives me a proud ‘you’re welcome’ and continues to stalk around on my phone. This lasts for an hour or longer. How can someone possibly find entertainment in this? “Tyler just texted you.”
“What did it say?”
“That he’s running later than expected, they had a huge drug bust and now he’s gotta write out paperwork. I’ll just tell him ‘ok’.”
“Just that, nothing else Jess.”
“I swear that’s all I did.”
“I have a question.” I said, abrubtly, a brilliant thought intruding my mind.
“Okay.” Jess said encouragingly.
“I can’t really keep Jasper here anymore with Tyler’s K-9 dog-“
“You want me to take your dog, don’t you?”
“Can you? He’s a really good dog, I swear, I wouldn’t ask if he wasn’t safe around kids.”
“Um, I don’t see why not. I’ll have to make sure it’s okay with Kyle.” She pulls out her phone and types a text message. “Yeah, he doesn’t mind, he wanted to look for a dog to get anyways. This would be just perfect.”
