Part 3

Tony's POV

"Well, then I am... grateful, to have someone in my life, who is just as..." she paused and chuckled, "romantically dysfunctional as I am."

"Ziva David, do you really consider me to be... in your life?"

"DiNozzo,"

I snapped from my thoughts.

"Yeah, boss?" I responded as I saw boss standing in front of my desk.

"Why are you still here?" Gibbs asked.

"Uh not-.. Uh you know, I was just... Well.. Searching, boss..." I lied as I sat erectly and faced the computer.

"You sure, DiNozzo?" he asked as he furrowed his eyebrows. I sat there, staring at him like I did when I was worried about Ziva, about the case of Bodnar.

"Permission to look around, boss."

"You worried about her?"

"Go home, DiNozzo. And rest." he suggested as he walked to his special desk.

"Okay boss... Thank you boss..." I thanked as I stood and got my things. "G'night, boss!"

He just nodded and I got in the elevator.

"There's another monster." she stated while she wipe her tears.

"Yep."

"I mean, we pursue them. But we just - keep making targets of ourselves."

"Better us than someone who didn't sign up for it."

There was silence for a second.

"I don't think I can take it anymore." she said as she looked at me with her teary eyes. I gave her a pity look. I stretched my left arm to her side and she leaned and we hug.

"Hey," I said as I look at her. "we're gonna get him, okay?" I said and caressed and cupped her temple.

"Ding!"

The elevator opened. I snapped from my thoughts and went home.

 I opened my apartment door, put the keys on the shelf.

"Hey Kate.. Hey.. Ziva.." I fed my two beloved fishes. It hurts when I feed one of them. Of course, one of them is Ziva. I shouldn't have left her. But she wanted to change. 

"I can change with you." 

These flashbacks are really getting into me right now. Lots of flashbacks, throwbacks. Why haven't I tell her in the first place? Why in the end? I thought I moved on. Well, I guess not.

I changed my clothes and went to bed, hoping to dream about Ziva coming back or how she is doing.

"I'm fine, Tony. Really."
