"Go on, open the door!" Muna said, beginning to nudge Dustin lightly towards a closed door that looked nearly identical to all the others.
Glancing down to grasp the door handle, she noticed light peeking out from under the barrier. The cold knob sending a shiver through her when her pushing force made it creak open for her.
She was surprised to say the least; It seemed like one after another kept occurring. This time left almost as speechless, surely not forcing to muster it up.
She couldn't help but turn around once she stepped foot inside, hugging the two of then; her dad and Muna as they stood next to each other. Letting go, she swayed around the room, stepping on an elevated part of the floor leading to a comfortably sized balcony. This of course wasn't the master bedroom; nor the size of it, but taking in the sight she couldn't imagine another bedroom in the house to over shine this one, hers.
"We got the original interior designer that did the house, to do your room!" Muna mentioned, herself gawking at the beautiful sight, thinking it's pretty amazing something as simple as a room, or building or even just the sight of one, can bring such a euphoric feeling.
Walking in the room, inside aways, was a small hallway to the left. Two doors stationed throughout, both on the right. Dustin saw the cavity in the wall and walked towards them curious as to what else could be hidden within. Not remembering them at all.
Opening the first one, it was a bathroom. Dark wood throughout, just like everywhere in the mansion, but instead of white or tan to follow the trend, gray tinge was in its place, creating a concrete like feel for the room.
A question that kept swaying in her brain was, "Why did you choose this room to change?", so she asked, facing them both. Dustin clicked the light off in the bathroom and guided herself to the other direction, walking out into the opened room, pushing a housed hanging chair in a niche of the wall, waiting for his response.
Dustin was sure the last time she saw this whole room it was an upstairs lounge.
"Well my young one, that decision was made my me!" Her dad announced "And the interior designer. I just thought this room would be a cool bedroom." he soon added, chuckling and trying to not take full credit, even if he wanted to deep down.
"There's a closet too!" The woman added, pointing to the door she didn't venture to yet.
Walking towards the other opening. A closet was carved into the room filled had a few mirrors partnered with several shelves and drawers. The cold floor awkwardly sprawled with several boxes.
"So this is where the boxes went." She said smiled to herself. "Yup!" They both responded at nearly the same time, one thought, just humming along with the statement.
Looking at the words and names scribbled across each box, she saw indeed, all of these were held across the country for her.
"I'm going to find a grocery store and get stuff for the house." Muna announced heading towards the exit of Dustin's room.
"Thank you" Dustin raised her voice for Muna to hear once she turned the corner, moving farther away.
"Nice of her" James; her dad said, as she nodded talking about their helper.
Bleakly in both of their minds, Muna is nothing close to just help. Being with Dustin her whole life; by her side. She'd do anything for her. Dustin often thinks about this, sometimes keeping her up at night, closer to a mom than Dustin's own, but it didn't feel like that kind of relationship. Supposing the perfect characteristic to it all is simply unique. Refusing to treat her anything other than what she deserves; Dustin can barely register how to treat Muna other than family. It is their family, always has been.
