After what had seemed to Dustin, extremely long hours; which where only 3, she stood at the kitchen island watching Muna prepare some sort of dish. She asked, more than once if she needed or wanted help thorough out the process, but the grownup denied.
Muna had a graceful hand in the kitchen, instead of being deprived of a chef, she seemed to develop the techniques to a great ability not only for her, but for others.
A loud sizzling noise took over the room for a few seconds, soon splashing an aroma into the air like no other. Knowing almost exactly what the supermarket had to offer and using it to her ability.
----------
Dishing out food onto three plates, Dustin helped to carry them to a smaller sized table in an area close of the kitchen. Eating at the formal dining room seemed a little extravagant for tonight, they all agreed on. Her dad rushing in to the room to help with whatever he could. During so, sniffing a plate of food Dustin carried causing her to laugh and him doing the same, wrinkles showing on his face that weren't there seconds before hand. His head jerking towards the a complete other direction following towards the noise of the door opening, seemingly the front, soon up the security alarm going off sending a blaring high pitched noise to scream through the halls. Dustin putting the food down, her dad pulled her out of open view as Muna walked close to James. Raising his hand ahead of her; them to stay there. Yet the loud noise becoming silent in seconds along with the door shutting with a slight echo settling into where they were. None of them leaving their designated spot yet.
"Not even a mess, hm?!" A woman announcing, walked further into the house.
Dustin coming out of her little hiding place walking around to find them. Overwhelming fragrance directed itself into my nose as her grandmother drifted by; the scent that was permeating around, she wondered how the rightful owner doesn't know this expensive perfume smells so lousy? Yet that was just Dustin's mindful opinion, not having much more emotion to bare after being recently, so anxious.
Standing at an opening passage near them, Dustin acting out a legitimate smile. Soon her grandfather followed close behind. Entering he nodding to Dustin, her exchanging the same gesture back to him. Buried inside of her, she scoffed at their attempt at friendliness.
She liked to be cordial when she saw someone, or to an extent be kind, but when these grandparents are around she just wants to crawl into a hole and primarily speak another language. That being squared if she has to fend for the smallest conversation alone with either or both of them.
"Hope we didn't interrupt anything!" The older woman with a block of diamond on her finger stated. Just the way she spoke, it seemed like she knew she did interrupt something, like she hoped to.
"Oh never!" Dustin's dad spoke with tenderness. He always liked to get on the good side of people other than the opposed. Almost sappy over.
"It was my house after all!" Dustin's eyebrows furrowed as her relative spoke those words, because it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter one percent, it is not relevant to much extent anymore. She can't freely walk into someone's house because she used to prance around with a key in her purse. The reflective, gold key that's currently resting in her manicured fingers.
It wasn't on a key ring or housed with other keys as it laid in her hands, so in Dustin's mind, she thought maybe it will be handed over without a reluctant phrase spoken.
But instead of simple dropping the key at the door, she was eventually walking over to the living room. Looking down at the new couch her eyebrow lifted the slightest bit, almost as she was acknowledging the furniture was of good quality before taking a seat. Moving a white throw pillow out of the way as she did so, it soon landed on the floor.
