She was lounging, following the details inside the car as her legs rested with relaxing intent on the plush carpet coverings, it all became noted down in her mind, and appreciated. A grazing sensation to her, as if she knew what every inch inside looked like, especially the lights resembling stars sprawled across the ceiling. Reminding her of her own, simply enough. Pushing a mindset upon her- being that she was floating, dazed out of consciousness."May I ask how your flight was?" Her eyes slow as they drifted over towards the voice suddenly blaring in front of her, without warning.
"It was good, thank you for asking." Her sweetness seeped through slowly, something that hadn't been around as of late.
"May I also ask where?" He added, her eyes still steady on him and finding a way to study the tight buttoned collar against his neck. His skin contrast not that off compared to his white shirt, besides his capillaries intertwined within leading to a red tinge all over him.
"Tokyo"
"Can I ask why?" Her breath drew in deep and silent from his persistence. His foggy eyes flicking back and forth to the road, then on her. Them every time, reaching her face and the emotionless state it was resting with.
"No, I was told I couldn't tell." She thought the stern manner she spoke with would give the hint she didn't want to talk, especially not wanting him to continue to ask questions. Nonetheless he wouldn't be able to get whatever it is he wants out of her, and she knew that. Pushing her head back against the luxury seats, she would still catch his eyes wonder over her in the rearview mirror every so often.
"Your dad?"
Stomach curling for a second, a growing fear accompanied her, being afraid of his intentions. She wondered, from the start, why he was even trying to erupt conversation.
Those simple words ignited the gaze she had on him a few moments ago, to turn back on. The clear glasses he had resting above his nose, did no help with disguising his focus that continued to switched back to the road before their eyes met.
Wanting her hardest, she tried to rationalize. Figuring out a realization and sticking with it: him being just a suspicious person who wants to know everything about everyone.
Yet, apprehensiveness still crept through her.
She did let it go as the physical hands of a clock ticked by in the mahogany wood that covered the dashboard. Red flashing of a car taillight speeding past in the fading light of day; nearly night, grabbing her attention instead of the comments that roamed her brain moments ago, causing her to really remember why she arrived there in the first place.
Seeing Beverly Hills through the dark tint. Around her mind moments replayed, faded memories and a few other things, as they drove by. Still looking out the window, she guided her hands across the interior around her, trying to find the backpack laying next to her body. She just wanted to get ahold of the one she was closest to besides her dad, to meet her.
To stop the suspense she's in.
