"Naive...
The drive itself was calming for Amelia but the thought of meeting new people still made her quite nervous.
Milo could sense she was overthinking so he tries to sooth her by rubbing her thigh.
They pull up at the expensive looking house, taking deep breaths as he parked.
"I'm scared." She whispers as he rings the doorbell.
"Don't be it'll be fine." He rubs her back. An older woman in a maid uniform opens the door for the couple, stepping aside to let them in.
"They are upstairs on the balcony Sir."
"Thank you." He nods and grabs Amelia's hand, leading her up to the second floor.
He slides the glass door open, stepping back out into the warm air with Amelia following behind.
"Nice to see you could make it." The man stands from the table walking towards the two teens.
"Couldn't refuse the offer." He shrugs. "Anyways, I'd like you to meet Amelia." He introduces, gently pulling her from around his back.
"Hello sweetheart, I'm De'angelo. Milo's told me so much about you." He uses a much friendlier approach.
"Hi." She smiles back, holding Milo's hand tighter.
"She's adorable." He looks back at Milo's protective stance. "Well let's eat." He turns on his heel walking towards the table of two more people.
They sit down next to each other and she finally let's go of his hand.
"Who's this?" The lighter girl across from them asks.
"Amelia, Milo's love." De'angelo answers, giving his sister a warning glance.
"Hi! I'm Lannie, I just wanted to say you're really pretty!" the pink haired girl next to her giggles.
"Thank you." She gives a soft smile as her food is placed in front of her by another worker.
Milo and De'angelo begin to talk about past memories while the girls listen.
Amelia soon found out De'angelo was best friends with Milo's father. She learns the rude girl's name was Candice and she was De'angelo's younger sister.
After they finish eating Milo speaks.
"Why don't you go get to know Lannie down by the pool."
She gives him a confused look as Lannie grabs her hand, almost tugging her back into the house excitedly.
Lannie takes her shoes off and sticks her feet into the water while Amelia just sits beside her with her legs crossed under her.
"It's so nice having someone else here like me." Lannie smiles.
"Like you?"
"Yeah."
Amelia assumes she meant being a black girl.
"How old are you?"
"Twenty, you?"
"Seventeen."
She couldn't understand how she was older than her but acted younger. She knew she was missing something.
"So, how long have you been with Milo?"
"Um about... ten months now."
"That's close to me and my daddy, we've been together eleven months but I've known him for a few years."
"Your daddy? You're dating your dad?" Amelia's eyes widen.
"Ew no, I'm talking about De'angelo silly."
"Oh thank God."
"Isn't Milo yours?"
"Excuse me? I've never called him daddy and I don't plan to anytime soon." She scrunches her face.
"Really? That's not what he told De'angelo."
"I wonder why he would lie about us being into that? No offense."
"None taken and I know he only helps out other daddy doms so maybe Milo lied to get his help with something."
"Maybe, let's keep this conversation between us."
"Oka- Emilio?"
"Hey Lannie, who's this?" The tall boy walks towards them.
"Amelia, this is my best friend Emilio."
She shakes his hand and he kisses the top of it.
"Wow you're really beautiful Amelia." He flirts.
"Stop she has a boyfriend and he's watching." Lannie whispers as she looks up behind him.
Amelia looks up to see him looking at her with Candice singing in his ear. He was paying her no attention, eyes too busy watching the unfamiliar boy interact with his girl.

"I think we're going to have to cut this meeting short." Milo rises from his seat.
"Alright call before you go to your next destination, when are you leaving?"
"Friday night."
Milo quickly trots down the stairs and meets Amelia.
"We're leaving now." He growls, looking over Emilio who is frozen in his place.
