------------------------------------------------------

Today was the day of your 100th surgery. It wasn't that big of an achievement, but it still felt like something special. Your friends thought so, too. They arranged a small party in the attending-lounge.

You were an attending at Seattle Grace Hospital. Your specialty: trauma. You and the head of trauma had a good relation. Nothing outside of work, just a good relation at work. You and dr Hunt were a great team, you knew exactly how he wanted his stuff and how he did his surgeries.

You did think about it, you and dr Hunt, outside of work. But last thing you heard was him being married, so the thought of you being together was past-tense.

"Dr Gust, you're with me on the patient in trauma 2." He says and you walk with him to the trauma room.

Dr Hunt informed you all about the patient, she {Liza Troary} got shot by someone in the chest and needed surgery right away.

After a couple of hours you closed the patient up. You and dr Hunt had nailed a surgery, once again.

"Good work out there, dr Gust." Dr Hunt said with a smirk, he always looks at you like that when he says that. And he always says that when the two of you saved someone. It was as if he was teasing you, you just couldn't figure out why.

You were about to finish your last postop when you suddenly got paged, it was dr Hunt. He paged you 911 to the attending-lounge.

You dropped your chart at the desk and went to the lounge as soon as possible. You opened the door and stood there in awe.

"Dear Samantha, you didn't think I forgot you had your 100th surgery today, did you?"

You looked at Owen, standing there, all alone in the room with a huge cake, "for the best surgeon I know" handwritten on it.

"Owen-,"

"Don't say a thing, just come here and eat this cake with me." He said laughing.

You walked in his direction and took a seat next to him on the couch.

"You paged me 911, you idiot." you said. You and Owen burst out in laughter.

A couple of attendings had come by to congratulate you and eat a piece of cake, you and Owen were never able to eat it yourself.

"Thank you for this, Hunt."

"Don't thank me, you deserve it, Gust."

You and Owen talked a bit longer but eventually you went home seperately and you went to bed.

The next morning you woke up, got breakfast, and went to the hospital.

"Goodmorning, miss Troary. How do you feel? Did you sleep well?"

You ask your traumapatient from yesterday, the woman who got shot and who had surgery.

"Finally, the doctor who operated on me, right?"

She asked, not too happy.

"Ehm, yeah. Well, one of them. Is there something wrong miss?"

"Actually, yes. I never asked you to operate on me, did I? What the f*ck made you think you could just do that?"

This woman has issues, seriously. She was still in her bed, she tried to figure out how she could get out, though. But there were still wires everywhere, so she couldn't just get out of bed or so.

"Ma'am, you were in a life-threatning situation. We, the doctors, had to take out the bullet and stop the bleeding in your chest before it was too late. You were unconsious, that's why we couldn't ask you, either."

You looked at the patient, not knowing what was going on in her mind.

"I was what?!" She almost yelled.

"You were shot ma'am, but the surgery went well-," you couldn't finish your sentence.

"Why are you telling me thid bullsh*t?! I've never been shot!"

"I'm sorry ma'am, I need to go."

You paged dr Hunt and dr Shepherd, something wasn't right.
