Zac's POV
Her eyes light up the room, and her slim figure makes me feel fat. She is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, and I once had a romantic encounter with Gia, the most beautiful girl in all the land.
But beauty is then turned to disgust once I see Jeramy escort her onto the room. He is in rags and his hair is a mess. He looks like a servant.
"I can see why you like her!!" My father whispers into my ear. Then he starts to babble about my mum and how beautiful she was, but I'm too distracted by Bella to understand what he is saying. "I wonder what my grandchildren will look like??"
"I don't think I heard you right, did you say grandchildren?!?!" I quietly yell, trying to make sure Bella doesn't hear.
"Yeah, and an invitation to your wedding, cause by the way you're looking at her, I think you wouldn't mind putting a ring on it." My dad giggles in my ear.
"Heh no, we haven't even kissed yet!!" I quickly snap.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're jealous." My dad smirks.
"Of who, Jeramy!! I can take him on any day. Plus I look so much better than him." I flex my muscles to prove my point.
"But is that what Bella thinks? She looks like the kinda gal who doesn't care about looks, but what's underneath. And inside you my son, is a boy who likes to jump from girl to girl, and is a really selfish, ass." My dad stubbornly corrects me, but as much as I hate to admit it, he is right.
"Ok, ok. Maybe I'm a little jealous, but they have been best friends for who knows how long!!" I can't let my dad know how jealous I am,or I'll never hear the end of it.
"Sorry to interrupt the conversation, but I was wondering where the toilets are??" Bella pipes up, trying not to make my dad angry.
My dad speaks up, "Martha will show you the way." Then they quickly scurry out and leave me, my dad, and Jeramy all alone.Bella's POV
"How do you like it here so far Miss Bella??" Martha asks me.
"It's really nice here!! And how did you know I'm not from around here??" I thought I was fitting in pretty well. I was obviously wrong.
"I've looked after Zac ever since he was a baby, and he tells me everything. This is my first time hearing of you, so you must be really important to him." Martha says in a loving tone. I don't know what to say, I thought he would have talked about me, but he didn't even tell Martha. I guess he really does keep his promises.Once I'm done in the bathroom, we walk down the hallway back to the dining room in silence. I'm kind of worried because Zac and Jeramy don't really get along, plus Zac would probably be showing off to his dad by punching Jeramy or something. Martha stops and turns to face me. "Stay here." She whispers, then turns on her heal and enters the room. "Miss Bella." She announces, then she holds out a hand and gestures for me to come into the room.
We awkwardly eat the rest of our dinner. I look around to see Jeramy and Zac giving each other death stares. I will never get guys.
"How do you feel about babies, Bella??" Zac's dad asks me. I can feel my cheeks heat up, and my palms start to sweat.
"Dad!!" Zac yells in shock.
"Sorry son, I was just curious." Zac's dad apologies.
"It's ok. I don't really mind." I reply, trying to defuse the situation before it explodes. "I haven't really thought about children really. I don't mind them, but I do have a bit of a temper, so I tend to go off a bit."
"Your like a Zac with boobs. You guys are so much more similar than you think. What is that gonna mean for my grandchildren!! I don't want another Zac!! No offence Zac." Zac's Dad yells.
"None taken." Zac says calmly, like it happens all the time.
"Would you look at the time, we have to get going!!" Jeramy saves the day once again.
"Of course, feel free to drop in and look around whenever you want." Zac's Dad invites us. We all stand up and head for the door. I stop and turn around.
"By the way, what is your name??" I ask Zac's Dad. I am kind of sick calling him that.
"Leon, my name is Leon." He smiles before he waves me goodbye."Now that was an awkward but hilarious dinner!!" Jeramy laughs.
"Your telling me, he asked me if I wanted children!!" I feel like screaming, that was so embarrassing. "Anyway Zac, Jeramy and I found a room guarded by a very rude man!! And I think that is where the scrolls are."
"So I see you've met Bart. He has a very warm and fuzzy personality, don't you think??" Zac smirks. "And he is guarding the scrolls. But he won't even let my father in there unless it is a life or death emergency."
"Than we create a fake emergency, then get him to let you in, and then secretly sneak out the scrolls." Jeramy suggests.
"That's is the worst idea I have ever heard. One, your not going to sneak anything past Bart!! Two, how are we going to create a fake life or death emergency in this little, ugly hut!!" Zac yells at Jeramy.
"Maybe we can make him let us in." I say
"What are you talking about Bella." Zac really doesn't know me very well.
"He can't stop us if he's in the floor screaming pain." I slightly grin at my genius plan.
"No way, he is trained to take pain, and if he screams, he could alert the other guards." Zac warns us.
"Then we will just have to knock him out." Jeramy pipes up, finally having a great idea.
"Are you sure you have enough control to knock out one of the most tough and elite guards in the land, Bella. Because if this goes south we could be-"
"Zac, I can do this. Stop worrying so much. Plus you're supposed to be the dangerous bad boy, looking for an adventure." I retort
"But you guys have never met my father's wrath. It is worse than hell itself." Zac shakes in fear as he says it. But I'm sure he is exaggerating it, to spook us. "But you guys will go anyway, so if you can't stop em, join em."
"We leave tomorrow at nightfall."A/N
