As we enter, so many different smells start filling my nose. My mouth starts to water and I feel like my heart is going to beat out of my chest. I look around and I feel like I'm in heaven. So many rooms and corridors, with of course fire glowing in every room.
Zac leads me down the third hallway, he looks around like he doesn't know how to get around his own house. But it's probably nothing. We go down another corridor and see Zac's dad standing there, but he doesn't look too happy. Is he always this angry?!
"There you guys are!! I have been waiting half an hour for you!!" Boomed Zac's Dad
"Sorry Dad, but it's been awhile Since I've been here." Zac replied.
"No excuse!! You will someday be the leader of the fire tribe, and what good are you if you don't even know your way around your own house!!" The fire leader spat full of rage . If I were Zac, I would be shaking in my boots. I can feel the goosebumps running down my arms right now. I try and focus on something else, because arguing gets me riled up, and we all know what happens when I get angry.I decide to take a look around this humongous hut, if you can even call it that. When I was little, I used to hear stories about the leaders homes. They were so big, and are much more advanced than our little huts. Even the village here is much more complex than ours. The hut we were staying in before was like prehistoric compare to the ones in the centre of the village. But unfortunately I didn't get a good look because Zac made us run to his home. Now I see why.
I can just here their bickering behind me, but I was to busy looking around at this huge palace. I can't believe the leaders and their families live here by themselves. I turn a corner and find myself face to face with this huge warrior. I slowly look up at his face, terrified of what he's going to do. His whole body is covered in paint and his dark skin reflects the glistening fire. He has leopard skin draping over his shoulder, with his muscles popping out from behind it. But his face doesn't look anywhere near as good as his body does. He looks like he is going to kill me.
"This area is restricted for the fire tribe leaders only." His calm voice is so different to what I would have imagined.
"S-sorry, I'm having dinner w-with the fire leaders." I peeped, absolutely terrified of his response.
He waited a while with a blank expression. But I see his big lips open up to speak. "I don't care about what your doing here, just go away." My blood starts to boil, he can't speak to me like that!!
"Excuse me!! That is no way to speak to a lady!! Apologise right now!!" If he doesn't!! So help me God!!
"I only obey the leaders' commands." He hisses at me. That's it!! I'm gonna kill him!!
I try and use my power to kill him, but nothing is happening. I breathe in the fresh air around me, and try one more time. Once again, absolutely nothing. I officially hate my power.I feel my nails dig into my palms as I tighten my fists. But he is still standing there, just looking at me. It's making me furious. I raise my fist up high so he can see it. Yet he stands there without a care in the world. Adrenaline is pumping through my body, and I go to swing. Lucky for the guy, my fist gets blocked by a smooth pair of hands. They feel familiar, but I can't place my finger on it. I face the rude intruder to find it's.......... Jeramy?!
"What are you doing here??" I quickly ask before he can say anything.
"Stopping you from doing something stupid like this. That's what best friends are for." J says with a smirk on his face.
I pull my fist out if his hand and turn around to give him the biggest hug in the world!! I am so glad he still thinks we are best friends after everything that has happened. I loosen my grip as I pull out of the hug.
"What are you doing here??" I question him.
"I wanted to give you a gift for tonight, but when I got home you had already left." He shyly admits.
"J, you don't have to get me anything." I calmly explain to him.
"Too bad, there is no returning it!!" He jokes with me. J is one heck of a friend. "Close your eyes." He instructs me, and I do as such. He grabs my hands and starts walking.Once we come to a stop, I slowly open my eyes to see where I am.
"Do you like it?" J asks. It's a beautiful black and blue dress with a silver lining. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. But how did he pay for it?? "It was hard to find because all of the dresses were red. But then I stumbled across this dress in a stall at the end of the market."
"It's so beautiful!! Thank you so much!! But how did you pay for it??" I politely ask him.
"Well before I came with you, I put money in your bag for emergencies. And this felt like an emergency." He admits.
"Oh Jeramy, you didn't have to do this." I feel bad because I don't have anything for him.
"Try it on!!" He yells at me before pushing me in a cupboard.Zac's POV
Me and my father finally stopped arguing after about an hour. I finally won the argument, and that never happens. As I celebrate my victory and rub it in my father's face, something in me feels like something is missing.
"So where's your lady friend?? Has she left you already?!" My father laughs in my face.
"No!! She probably just went for a wonder." I pretend not to panic, but inside I'm FREAKING OUT!! Where could she have gone, what is she doing. What if she runs into Bart!! He is very stubborn and I can see her getting in a fight with him. She could reveal her power!! Oh Bella, where are you?!
"Martha! Go find Zac's lady friend. We are going to start dinner without her." My father orders.Once I'm up to my second plate, and my father is up to his fifth, we hear footsteps walking down the hall. All of a sudden, Martha pops around the corner.
"Here she is." Martha announces, then she walks away.
As Bella come around the corner, my jaw drops and I can't stop staring, neither can my Father.
