CH 15: Better

I marched out of the Mess Hall and down the wooden steps 'Stupid Horseface' I sighed and trudged down the dirt path. 'Why can't he mind his own damned business'. The day had already kicked off with a terrible start and Jean had only added onto her previous nights dream. 

"(Y/N)" I turned around to see Eren running towards me, he stopped in front of me and stared at me for a moment.

"Are you really from Shingashina?" his question made my heart drop to my stomach, I merely nodded as I turned my (E/C) eyes to stare at the dirt. An awkward silence settled in the air as we just stood there saying nothing, the only audible sound was the surrounding environment and the sound of my heart erratically beating in my ears. I turned my gaze to him, catching a glimpse of his turquoise eyes, they were staring straight back at me.

"Would could of been neighbors!" Eren suddenly bursts as a smile spreads across his features.

"That is highly unlikely." I mumbled still staring at him. 

"But, Its still a possibility" Eren hummed. 'What if we really were...' my heart began to beat faster just the thought of being so close yet so far made my heart ache but then at the same time feel so joyful.

 "Eren" He stared at me quizzically waiting for me to continue, I sucked a breath in.

"What was your family like?"he frowned and looked down at the dirt, kicking his foot a little he looked back up at me.

"Well my Mom was the best and she was always there, I just didn't know how to listen... a-and My Dad wan't around much but he was still there when I needed him, and you know Mikasa" He shuffled around on his feet staring at me.

"I don't remember my Father... He died before I was born, I remember my Mother would sing me to sleep and tell me endless stories , and my brother we would play at our special place and we would dream about the world outside the walls.. he was my only friend at the time and when he was gone I would sit on the swing we had made and wait for him to come home." I had averted my gaze to the ground and once again an awkward silence cut through the air. Eren coughed and patted my head, I looked up at him, he was blushing and looking away from me trying to hid it. I laughed a little as my cheeks became rosy. A warm fuzzy feeling settled in my stomach making me forget all my worries.

'Eren really does make everything better'

Thx for reading and once again sorry that I took so long off without a word, I will be starting school soon (August 8, it would have been the 4th but my Mom forgot to enroll me so now I get extra days of freedom) I will be making a schedule, I'm not sure what days I will update yet but I will have to see once school starts so until then I will try to update every morning.
