The First Meeting
Seems clad miraculously with glass
Adam was ready to meet the Beast. He didn't really believe that a girl with the sweet name Belle could be so bad. Maybe they were all over-exaggerating about the whole ordeal. He was standing at her doorstep, wondering if what he was doing was smart. The girl probably just wanted her space, but they were all up in her business, making feel frustrated.
He shrugged. If that were the case, then it wouldn't be bad. He would have a conversation with her, and then leave. All he had to do was tell everyone else that it was a misunderstanding, and they'll go back to normal.
Adam noticed on the door. He waited patiently with his hands folded behind his back. The door slammed opened, and he saw no one. He walked up and heard a loud, "Stop!" Adam looked down to see a talking clock and he screamed like a little girl.
Adam held his chest. "Hey, man, don't scare me like that, okay? You could've given me a heart attack."
The clock bowed. "My apologizes, but you nearly crushed me to bits and pieces." He straightened himself. "Now, come inside. Are you here to talk to my master?"
"Yes, is the Beast here?"
The clock nodded. "You may wait here until I can get her. My name is Cogsworth if you need anything." And he left.
Adam closed the door behind him and looked around. The castle was humongous and everything looked like a fairytale. The walls were a dark brown littered with beautiful paintings he'd never seen before. Many sculptures and vases were around. The chair next to him was soft and ancient. He wondered where she got all the furniture.
Adam heard yelling in the distance. He stood up immediately and would've been hit with a dictionary if it weren't for his fast reflexes. A figure came up to him. He was awed by her magnificent beauty but was broken from the spell the moment she opened her mouth. "Get out!"
He raised an eyebrow. "Me? You want me to leave? I came here to ask for shelter and food. I'm lost and poor and have nowhere to stay. Would you be so kind and take me in?"
She sneered at him, "Get out of my house. I don't want visitors. Leave!" He pushed him out the door and slammed it in his face.
He stood there shocked, wondering how in the world she became so grumpy.

"Why in the world did you do that?" Cogsworth asked, fuming. "That man was being so kind to you, and all you did was spit and throw a dictionary in his face. Is it hard for you to be kind?"
The Beast growled. Cogsworth hid behind Lumiére and shuddered. She was walking back and forth, wondering if it was the same man who left her father's cottage a few days ago. Mrs. Potts rolled on her mobile tray so fast she nearly tipped the whole thing over and crashed onto the floor.
"Who – what in the world happened? Why is the dictionary on the floor? Poor thing . . ." She hopped towards the dictionary and whispered, "It's okay, dear, don't your worry you'll be okay . . ."
Chip leapt into the Beast's palms. He smiled sweetly at her and looked around, making sure no one was listening before whispering, "Hey, Beast, will you take me to the butterflies?"
"No," she huffed out. He eyed her woefully, and she immediately felt bad. "Maybe in a few minutes, okay? I think Mrs. Potts will want to know. How about you go off with your brothers and sisters, and when this is done, I'll come and get you?"
