Katniss' decision

   Katniss and Gale were in the woods together, like always. They were tired from all their hunting. 6 squirrels and 3 birds. Katniss sat next to Gale as he moved in closer. The wind blowed her hair into her gray eyes. He gently tucked it behind her ear and leaned in closer, about kissing her. Gale had always loved Katniss. She still hadn't decided between him and Peeta though, but what she didn't know was that today could persuade her completely. "Gale, I-I..." she stuttered. "I know you haven't decided yet" He mumbled, not wanting to accept it, "What could I do to convince you Katniss?" He finished. Katniss gave it a thought and said "How about you don't try to be anyone other than yourself, just let things happen." He nodded, wanting to say something, but stayed quiet. They started towards district 12 to bring their prey to their families to eat. Just as they got to the fence, a peacekeeper was in sight, guarding the fence to make sure none would get in, unaware people were coming out. The peacekeeper slowly turned around as Katniss stepped on a twig, and made a louder noise than expected. Gale, with his fast reflexes, grabbed Katniss and hid her behind a bush as he slid behind a tree. The peacekeeper shot right between the two, hitting the tip of Gales elbow. Unaware of the blood, he grabs Katniss and they run south to get under the fence without being caught. Katniss' hair misses getting caught in the fence, while Gale has trouble getting under, since he's relatively tall. They run faster than they even have to their houses, trying desperately to avoid that peacekeeper. Once they reach Katniss house, she puts her hair up into a messy bun. Gale grabs her arm and pulls her to the backyard. She is startled and confused, but happy. He tells her "I can't take this anymore Katniss, you need to know how I feel" and she responds with "But I do know how you feel." "Not quite Katniss, not quite." He says softly. Gale pulls Katniss closer to him so that they are nose to nose, and whispers in her ear "I'm in love with you." He then begins to kiss her, and she kisses back. It starts off softly, getting harder and harder as they go on. Still oblivious that his arm is drenched in blood, Gale picks up Katniss and brings her in the house and to her room. He places her on the bed and begins kissing again. He slowly unbuttons her shirt to reveal her plain black bra. He un-buttons and un-zips his jeans, and as Katniss was about to undo her bra, she notices the blood dripping everywhere. "Gale! Your arm!" She exclaims. "It's fine, it's fine" He responds. "No it's not!" She goes on. "Ok ok" he said as he finally caved in letting her wash the blood off, put cream on it, and wrap it in a long, tan bandage. "Gale, I think after all that's happened today, you are better for me than Peeta." She finally says. "Let's go make dinner" he responds, with a smirk.
