Jake was fighting to keep his head one hundred percent in the discussion going on. His was struggling with it though and he hated it. He needed to to focus as he was in the middle of planning the best way to attack. Sweat was trickling down his back and his jaw hurt from him clenching it tight. Landon was pointing out something on a map but his words were a jumbled mess. He growled at his beast, hoping it would shut the animal up. Everything went silent before only one thing filled his head once again.
Pup.
The moment his eyes landed on Madison holding his baby brother up to her nose, his wolf went crazy. Images of her cradling their child in her arms flashed in his mind. Another of her stomach round with the proof of their love. He sucked in a breath when another vision of her flashed, her stomach round with their child as their son sat on the counter. His face covered in chocolate as his mother stood next to him smiling, a bowl of cake mix in her hands. As much as he tried, he couldn't push those images away.
Grace was right, the twins wouldn't be able to run all three territories, and Bennett didn't have the Alpha trait. If he went through with attacking Madison's father's pack, there would be consequences he wasn't sure they were ready for.
"Jake, you with us?"
Landon's voice pulled him from his thoughts as he nodded. He needed to focus and he promised his wolf they would think on this later. For now they had to plan the attack.
"Maddie said their numbers weren't huge from what she saw. From what she has seen of our pack, we have more numbers than they do." Jake glanced at the map marking the territories.
"That's good. Maybe it won't come down to a fight. With our numbers, the Alpha will have two choices. He can either surrender, or risk killing off his pack." Thomas spoke from his side of the table. A grin appeared on his face as he glanced at Lucas, "from what I hear you nearly killed your father. He is one tough son of a bitch. Madison's father has no chance."
Lucas fought back a grin, "I went easy on the boy. Didn't want to embarrass him."
Jake let out a growl, not liking having his strength questioned.
"I'm kidding son," Lucas held his hands up, "you beat the piss outta me."
"I say we don't wait." Landon spoke up. "We attack now. Jake," Landon looked up at him, "he was probably waiting on this attack a long time ago. Since that day when he showed up with his daughter claiming you marked her. It's been awhile, think he is still anticipating one?"
Jake shook his head, "I don't think so. The bastard looked absolutely terrified when you told him the two of us mated. I agree though. We shouldn't waste anymore time."
"What about this boy? The one her father made her, you know." Thomas questioned. "What are we going to do about him."
All eyes were on him and his wolf let out a growl. He was torn between what he felt. On one hand he wanted to rip apart the wolf that had his mate first. On the other hand though, he wanted to meet the male who took care of his female when any other male wouldn't have if put in that position.
"I don't know what he looks like." Jake ran a hand down his face. "Maddie will have to join us. She will be able to point him out. I want her protected though, she is surrounded but ten of our best men. I won't take a chance of her being hurt. She points him out, we make him an offer to join our side if the fighting starts and then she is taken back to a safe distance."
"Agreed." The other males spoke in unison.
"I'll inform the men we leave at first light. Go spend another night with your mates in case the worst is to happen." Devon spoke as he stepped forward.
Jake nodded before turning and making his way back up to his room where his mate was waiting for him. They needed to talk, and it couldn't wait.
Opening the door the the bedroom Jake froze, a low groan escaping him. Madison was wearing nothing but one of his t-shirts, bending over so she could dry her wet hair. The bottom of her ass was just peaking out from the bottom of his shirt. His mouth went dry, as his eye roamed over the still pink skin from her shower.
She was humming a tune, and didn't hear as he approached. He had to force himself to not grab her and toss her on the bed. His beast was not helping as he started up his chant again.
Pup. Pup. Pup.
Swallowing hard, Jake rested his hands on her hips and helped her to stand up straight. A chuckle escaped him at her squeal.
"Jake, I didn't hear you come in," she gasped as she turned to face him.
Smiling, he plucked the towel from her hands before tossing it into the dirty clothes. He spun her around before lifting up her brush and running it through her hair. The corner of his lip lifting when she instantly relaxed and his wolf puffed out his chest knowing he was the cause of the calm surrounding his mate.
Lifting her into his arm, he let out a low growl of approval the moment her arm wrapped around his neck. Her face immediately nuzzled into his neck. He could spend the rest of his life just like this, and it still wouldn't be enough. He craved her touch and that was exactly what he planned on getting tonight.
Slowly lowering her onto the bed he allowed himself to hover over her. Her chest rising and falling with each breath she took. He hadn't even touched her and her eye glazed over and the smell of her arousal saturated the air. His mate was ready for him.
Kissing her neck he smiled against her when a soft mewl left her lips. He loved her more than anything and would do absolutely anything for her. At the moment though, he wanted nothing more than to worship her body.
Sliding his palm over the smoothness of her skin his wolf began to howl. His mate was ready for him and his wolf began his repetitive chant again. He pinned her down, his hips holding her in place and grinned when he added slight pressure causing her to gasp. She was ripe, her body ready and he could feel her liquid heat dampening the front of his jeans.
Taking a deep breath, Jake knew his next move would most likely anger his mate, but he didn't care. He couldn't stop himself, it had to happen and there was no way it could be stopped. She would be angry the moment he went through with it but he didn't care. He wanted this, and there was no going back.
He just hoped he didn't regret it come morning.
