This was becoming a routine, waking up in the guys arms, sneaking out and making breakfast as a shitty apology. This morning wasn't any difference, except for waking up a lot later than usual, and Finch's body already being out of the bed. I slipped out and followed the smell of breakfast foods, walking into the kitchen to find him bare chested standing at the oven. His hair was a complete mess, sticking up every which way, his hand reaching up to absentmindedly scratch his chest while he cooked bacon and scrambled eggs.
He was so beautiful doing such a mundane task, I could feel it literally burning right in the center of my chest.
"Hey, what're you doing up so early?" I asked him as I walked into the room, settling onto a kitchen bar stool.
"You've cooked every time you came over here, figured it's my turn. We haven't really had time to show you exactly what we do when we're not stuck in that hell for eight hours a day." I smiled as he started placing tortillas in a deep pan, a well as eggs and cut up pieces of bacon. He followed with various vegetables, before folding over the tortilla and flipping it.
"What're you making?"
"Breakfast wraps, I decided today we're going to my restaurant I own." I felt my eyes bulge slightly, watching his body move around the kitchen.
"You own a restaurant!?" He smiled sheepishly just as the other two walked in, Ronan grinning as he heard my outburst and Theo as grumpy as ever.
Theo went straight for the coffee machine, pouring himself a cup and fixing it before taking a huge gulp. His eyes finally opened like normal and found my spot at the bar with a grin. "He's owned it for a few months and it's actually pretty popular, not that he'd tell you that. It's called 'Little Birds'."
I smiled at the play on his name, looking back to the slight blush along Finch's cheeks. "I love the name, let me go get dressed and we can head out."
He grinned at my praise, the warmth in his eyes igniting ever just the slightest. I hopped off the stool and went up the steps, finding clothing in the big bedrooms closet. It had an adjoining bathroom, and the shower was actual heaven. I just dressed in a simple grey sweater and dark jeans, before tugging on a pair of black toms.
I met the rest of them downstairs already dressed, all wearing t shirts and jeans. Finch just shook his head at my mess of hair, his own curly mop pulled back into a makeshift ponytail. "Come on you straggler, the diner isn't that far away."
I grinned as I followed them out to the truck, taking just a bit longer since my body was still sore. Ronan eventually just picked me up and slug me on his back, causing my grin to grow wider along with Theo's and Finches.
Finch was right, the trip only took about twenty minutes, even with Theo's grandma driving. We are along the way, the breakfast wraps better than any of my measly cooking. Theo eventually pulled up to a medium sized building, fairy lights strung everywhere over a small patio filled with a running fountain and tables everywhere. A stage sat in the corner with a little awning covering almost everything, as well as flowers along the perimeter.
