I found myself staring up at the house in front of me, still wearing my black dress. I told them I needed to go to my house to get clothes to sleep in, but they refused and said they didn't want me going back into that house alone. So now I was here, trying to make myself have enough courage to ask them to walk into my house with me.
It's stupid, but my house scared me. It held all my nightmares, the chest and the room. It terrified me to have such a stupid fear, just like how small spaces freaked me out. I breathed in and walked to the door and knocked gently, the sounds of footsteps within reverberating to me.
The door was flung open, a grinning Finch stood with a smear of, something, across his forehead. I cocked my head as I stepped closer than I probably should have, and ran my fingers along the dark brown streak. His face contorted from confusion to something different as I lifted my finger to my nose and smelt it, before popping it into my mouth and sucking the chocolate off.
Something between a groan and a growl reverberated from deep with in his throat, his eyes shutting as I felt my cheeks heat up. "So, brownies?"
"Uh, yeah, brownies." He turned and walked back in quickly, my feet making their way into the house and shutting the door behind me. I kicked off my heels and padded across the hardwood floor, opening up into a hallway.
The hall led straight to a living room while an opposite door opened to a huge kitchen and mini dining table with just enough room for four occupants. A separate door held a huge dining room instead, the hall itself had little pictures up and down the wall.
I smiled as I walked into the living room, watching as Theo and Ronan played some type of video game on the huge TV. "So this is what you guys do on your down time."
They both spun around to look at me, huge grins meeting me. I smiled in return and sat on the couch behind them, crossing my legs and leaning back. A sliver of my skin peeked through the slit in my dress, both of the guys eyes straying away from the TV to my skin. I smiled to myself, a small sense of pride in the fact guys could even find me attractive burrowing itself deep within me.
"You need a change of clothes don't you?" I nodded to Theo as he stood, following behind him and up the stairs when he gestured for me too.
"We could just go back to my house." I offered, following him down a carpenter hallway.
"Or you could just let me assert my manliness and wear one of my shirts?" I rolled my eyes, following him into what I assumed was his bedroom.
It was Theo in a room, a huge bed with dark brown walls. He had small little accents of green, including things like his comforter and his curtains. A medium sized TV sat against the wall while he had various trophies lined up on shelves along the walls. He walked into what I assumed was his walk in closet as I made my way around the perimeter, looking at the different first place trophies for things like football and track.
