The door slammed open and Carlos looked at Mal and Evie. He glanced around the room as They both smiled uneasily at him.

"Where is she?" He growled. They both quickly pointed at my closet. Oh thank the lord. He walked in and once he was out of sight- "Run!" Mal mouthed to me.

I dropped to the floor being as quiet as could be. "She's not in there Guys-" I dashed out of the room as fast as possible. "Ariana! Please!" He shouted, following after me.

I spotted Rose and ran faster towards her. "Your boyfriend wants you." I told her, before running past.

She gasped. "Carlos!" She opened her arms wide as he ran towards me. He stopped in front of her, his eyes not even gracing her face. He just stared at me  and pulled her into a hug. He kept his eyes on me, watching, begging me. And so, I kept on running to put as much distance in between us.

Soon enough the sun was setting and I was sitting on the bleachers of the Tourney field. "You know you shouldn't avoid him." I heard Jay say behind me, catching me off guard.

"What? No hello?" I asked. He chuckled softly, sitting down next to me and I leaned against his shoulder. "What am I supposed to do?" I asked, solemnly. "Ari, you need to talk to him soon. Because I know by the end of this week you're going back to be the queen of the ocean." He told me. I frowned, but didn't respond. Jay grabbed my shoulders and turned me to look him in the eyes.

"Ariana. Carlos loves you, he really does. He just doesn't know how to stop Rose. She's put a love spell on him like every week. You need to talk to him, or else soon Rose might do something worse." Jay told me. I looked down, avoiding his gaze.

"Talking about me are we?" I heard her sickly sweet voice ask. Oh you've gotta be joking. "Actually yea, we are. Gotta problem?" I growled. "No, not really." She mused, smirking. "Actually I just wanted to let you know, Carlos is mine, and I've gotten farther with him then you ever have and ever will." She smiled and threw dust up into the air. It landed on her and she disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

My barrier was slowly crumbling. It's just like the Hoover Dam in all of the movies. It was just about to crake open and kill  a lot of people. You're never let them know they get to you. But she knows. She knows what she has over me, and she doesn't want to let it go.

"That's it." Jay said and suddenly I was thrown over his shoulder, he held a tight grip on my thighs. "Jay! What are you doing!?" I snapped. "You're gonna talk to Carlos." I pounded on his back. "No! I can't! I can't! Please don't make me!" I pleaded, struggling to get away.

"No can do Ari, enough is enough." He said. "It's only been one day!" I reasoned. He opened the door to the student dorms. He continued walking down the corridor. Soon he came to a stop. A door creaked open. He walked inside and closed the door behind us. "Why is Ari hanging over your shoulder?" I heard Carlos ask.

"Dude. You've been trying to talk to her all day and that's all you have to say when you finally get the chance." Jay said. Jay lifted me off his back and set me down on Carlos' bed. "Ooooh~ head rush." I hissed. "Sorry." Jay apologized to me.

"I'll be right outside if you need me." Jay said, not specific to either of us. He closed the door behind him. I sat still and didn't move, looking at the ground. I knew it was only a matter of time, but really? I just got here today.

Carlos was over standing next to their gaming system. "Ariana." He whispered slowly walking over to me. He squatted down in front of me, on the ground and looked up at me, trying to find my eyes. He grabbed my hands out of my lap and I brought my eyes to his, slowly. "Why do you run from me?" He asked.

I studied him, not yet answering his question. He had buffed up a little since I had last seen him. His cheek bones were a little more filled out, his arms were thicker. His hair was freaking amazingly beautiful. God, I sound like a middle school love struck girl.

"I'm going back to Atlantis, Saturday afternoon." I said, trying to change the topic. His eyes broke like glass being hit with a hammer. "You're leaving?" He whispered. I looked away from him. "You have Rose. You don't need me." I said defiantly. He growled.

My eyes snapped to his. His caramel brown eyes were filled with anger. "The only reason that girl is still talking to me is because she promised to hurt a lot of people, your people, if I didn't. Jay and I are just trying to figure out what that is." He explained. I searched his eyes for any sort of lie. There was none.

My eyes flashed to his lips and back up again. He caught on and smiled, that little  mischievous grin. He tackled me in a hug pushing us both against the bed. We were both sent into a giggling fit. He looked down at me lazily with a grin that could match a happy golden retriever. He brought his head down and butterflies, fireworks, sparks, every cliche there is, just happened.

And it was amazing.

He pulled away gingerly and I quickly chased the kiss, but He just chuckled and laid next to me and pulled me to his side. He was laying on his back and I was pressed up to his side. I closed my eyes and he kissed my head.

A couple minutes later, Carlos started whisper shouting for Jay to come back inside as I pretended to be asleep. The door opened and closed behind light footsteps. "How'd it go?" Jay asked in his usual voice. Carlos shushed him harshly. "Dude, she's a heavy sleeper, she won't wake up till morning." Jay assured him.

Carlos sighed. "Well it obviously went well, I just don't know what to do about her leaving on Saturday." He said sounding unsure. "Convince her to stay." Jay said. "You and I both know, it's not that easy."
