A day in the life (of the modern fangirl)

My name is Anna. I'm a seventeen-year-old virgin obsessed with The Beatles with no chance of making it, at nothing at all. I am kind of smart, but a whole time daydreamer, so my grades are as low as my self-esteem, but I don't mind, someday I will find something I am good at... hopefully.

I live with my mother and brother in Canberra, Australia. Most of you will instantly think of kangaroos, but I swear to God I have only seen kangaroos at the zoo... oh but I have seen spiders, spiders the size of a fucking bird. And a big one.

I have some friends, none of them likes The Beatles, I could actually say that they hate them, but sometimes they let me talk about them... sometimes.

I have been bullied, yes. There are some dudes that call me "Anna the Grandma" and stupid nicknames like that, (if I could choose my favorite, it would totally be Anna McCartney), but I don't mind either.

I don't care about what anyone thinks about me at all.

I am who I am and I don't feel like changing a thing. Life is good, people let me do my thing, I can listen to my music and have the privileges of a twentieth first-century teenager, (ignoring the fact that John and George are dead and Ringo and Paul are almost eighty years old now), so as long as I have a phone to play my music in and some earplugs, life will go on.

My best friend, Jade, is into music from the seventies, such as Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, but she hates The Beatles and the Bee Gees because they are "too happy for this cold ass world, goddamn it". My other good friend, Kyle, likes modern music, (I don't even know why we are friends if he listens to The Chainsmokers), and he is the only guy I can talk fluently with, and that's because he is gay, (sometimes we talk about McLennon... oh yeah, that's why we are friends...), and that's it. Nothing more and nothing less.

I have never been in a real relationship, (but in my head I have dated Paul, John, Ringo, George, Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie and Dennis Wilson), but I'm not interested in these stupid "millennials" with their pants at their knees and the stupid sexist attitude.

So yeah, this is me.

And life doesn't suck that much so far, (unless for those days when I get back home, crying into my pillow of the Brtish flag because those jerks at school were ruder than normally), because I have some friends and a loving family.

And The Beatles, I have The Beatles.
