Mondays are always great days for a fresh start, aren't day? Starting a diet on Monday, buying food on Monday for the rest of the week, talking to your crush for the first time... on Monday.
The classes always start late on Mondays, so I have time to find Miles Tyner. And as I walk in the grass, I see him, with black skinny jeans and a black and white striped shirt under a jean jacket. He makes me think of Elvis Presley in Jailhouse Rock, and I like that.
We have lost the time
That was so hard to find
And I will lose my mind...I sing for myself as I walk to him.
But I get nervous and realize, once again, that I can't do this, so I walk to the classroom. Did he saw me? I hope he didn't.
Once I am in the classroom, I take out my notebook and pretend that I am doodling (because I suck when it comes to drawing) and I can see Miles is on the door.
-You are late, Mr. Tyner -says the teacher, putting those big bottle glasses back to their place above his gigantic nose.
-Sorry, Mr. Law, but I was talking to the Principal...
I look at him with my mouth wide open. He is lying! He was outside, alone.
Then he notices I am confused (and even mad because he is a liar), so he continues...
-...I saw him in the hallways, and he asked me to tell... her... to come with me to his office.- he says pointing at me. Wait, at me?
-Okay, Ms. Jacks, go with Mr. Tyner to the Principal's office.
I stand up confused, I.. I did something bad? I never do the wrong thing, I am a great student! I just get a little bit distracted sometimes... but that's it!
I walk next to Miles, blushing, and he closes the door when I'm out.
-Come with me...- he says in a serious tone, not even looking at me. He sounds like a bad guy that is about to kill me, the innocent one.
I follow him, even though the Principal's office is the other way.
