Chapter Eight
†Scarlet
†Reese's POV †
I held Mira close as she told me all her insecurities and told me all about
that douche Calvin. She told me how she hurt Michael and tried to make
things feel better by cutting and trying to kill herself. I let tears roll down.
It's hard hearing that someone you care about wants to die, and that they
feel like no one wants them anymore. She told me why she didn't want to
be with me, that she didn't want to do something stupid , but she stayed
because she didn't want to loose me like she lost Michael. She told me that
both Calvin and Michael started to come to our school. I clenched my fist
as I heard Calvin's name. He used my Mira-cle whip... And he's going to
pay. Mira cried into my shoulder and I let her. I sighed and said to her,
"Mira, I haven't been totally honest with you either... No, don't talk... just
listen. My parents died when I was 12. They had three kids, Angel, Zero
and me. We didn't have any other family members. So we live in a group
home right now. I have to fight to keep us together. Angel has a weird type
of static fever where it is unpredictable. Zero and I do our best to make
sure she is hidden so no one takes her away from us. I wouldn't be able to
live without my Angel. Also I am not a Playboy. I haven't ever done
anything like that. Your brother and I have talked about this. He kind of
promised me you. He told me that you would be perfect for me. That I have
to earn your trust before you tell me anything. He said that you would be
good for Angel, do you want to meet her?" Mira looked up at me and
nodded. She was so sweet. I smiled and took her hand as we walked to my
bike. I gave her my helmet and she decided that she wanted to drive. She
wasn't bad at it, just not experienced. Plus she didn't have her license. But
I let her anyways. She laughed as she drove. We drove to my home. Angel
was there with one of the other people who lived at the group home. I
brought Mira in and took her to Angel's room. I saw a small blonde head
peeking over the covers. Her big blue eyes were currently closed. I put my
finger on my lips and brought her to Angel's side. I smiled at her and sat
down on Angel's bed. She stirred and slowly woke.
"Rweesy!" She smiled and put her arms up for a hug. I smiled and hugged
her thin body. I pulled away and I said,
"Angel, this is my friend, her name is Mira." Angel got shy but got braver,
'Are you going to be my new mommy?" My heart melted as I saw Angel's
pleading eyes. Mira smiled and said,
"You can call me that." I grinned, Angel is so happy right now,
