Chapter 8

I follow the guards to this long black car and one of them opens the door for me. I don't thank them and just get in slamming it shut and my eyes land on the other side of the limo and I see candy. I quickly reach for it and stuff almost everything in my mouth. It tasted live heaven.

I groan and look around finding a sack on the ground. I dump all the candy into the sack until all the shelves were fully cleared. The car then stops and I see this huge castle-like building and a couple of people waiting out front along with my dad and my stepmom.

I rush out of the car with the sack still in my hands and I run to my parents and give them a hug.

"MOM! DAD!"

"Hey Max." They both say.

"I can't believe I am really here. God all this light is giving me a headache." I say shielding my eyes. King Ben walks up to me with smile. I cross my arms rolling my eyes.

"Pleasure to meet you. I am-

"King Benjamin yeah I know."

"Oh so you've heard of me?"

"You're on TV and there are posters of you and Mal all over the island and we cut your heads out and tape them to our dartboards and punch bags and dummies." I smile. Hey lets out a nervous laugh.

"Good to know. But welcome to Auradon. We are currently standing outside the well known school Auradon Prep. This is where you will be at and take classes at for the next three weeks." Ben explains.

"Well could we get in now I really, really do not like all the sunlight."

"Right this way."

I walk over to Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay.

"Well if it isn't the little traitors. Words can't describe how much everyone on the isle hates all of you. Of course I can put it all into words but I'm probably not allowed to use that type of language around these parts."I smirk.

"We didn't want-" Evie begins but I cut her off.

"Shut it princess." I shove past all of them and walk into the stupid school as my parents tell them some stuff about me.

I walk in and stop and everyone freezes and looks at me.

"Go back to your stupid business peasants."

Everyone keeps walking and I stop as Mal starts talking.

"Um..your room is right this way. You don't have a roommate since all of this is temporary." she says.

"What if I wanted to stay and live here? Don't assume stuff traitor."

"I have a name."

"Oh and do I care? When I say it I gag."

"Ok...anywho."Ben says "Mal we have a meeting with some other people of the court. Jay you can show her down to her dorm right?"

"Of course I can. Right this way she devil."

"Aww." I hold my hand over my heart in appreciation and he smiles a little. We both walk up the staircase and down some long halls.

"I never got to properly introduce myself. My name is Jay."

"Maxine but call me Max. You know the only person on the isle who really hates you is Harry. That's his personal dartboard and punch bag and dummy. He actually sometimes talks to the dummy and threatens it."

"Um...good to know?"

"Yes. Yes it is."

"So who are you the daughter of?"
