"I can't believe we're here..." Micah says rolling her eyes. "Lord Kasey, are you ready?" Nova asked me. Assassin Order has changed my title name for some odd reason that I'm not so sure about. I hope it's not because people are plotting to now finally kill me. "Get in!" I motioned the whole guild to get into the castle. Collin, Micah, and Shadow stay back with me. I had light comfortable armor under my dress that wasn't visible to the people. Micah had brought her magical staff along with her in any case of anything unexpected happened. "Kasey...you're wearing your family's medallion." Collin points at the medallion around my neck that goes well with my blue dress. I wouldn't admit this to anyone but the dresses aren't mad and this color blue is suitable for me. "Micah, not bad in the color green," Collin smirks as he takes Micah's hand. "You're lucky I like you or else I'd cast you away to the netherworld," Micah says with a smile. "I can't let Ryder become Kasey's favorite guard," Collin says. "I never said that!" I said quickly. "We all know I'm your favorite when you secretly tell Ryder that he's the favorite. Trying to make Ryder feel good about himself." Collin whispers into my ear before leaving with Micah into the castle to head into the ballroom. "Why is he still here again, remind?" I teased. "Because he's your personal guard still." Shadow answers my question that didn't necessarily need a response. "Waiting for someone?" I smirked. "I could be asking you the same thing," Shadow responds to me which I switch to a straight face and glared at me. Shadow gave me the 'I won't say anything if you don't' stare. I nod my head as I gave him the 'You saw nothing and I saw nothing' stare at me. "Break the stare." Flare pops out of nowhere. "Looks like you should leave, oh what a pity." I sarcastically said breaking the staring among Shadow and I. Shadow sticks his tongue at me that nobody saw as he took Flare into the castle. Damien and I were left alone which wasn't a good sign. I knew he wanted to have a short talk with me. "Your family?" Damien says nervously as I revealed my natural blue hair. "They're here but I'll show them that I am a survivor," I told him.
"Lord Damien!" The man introduced as he introduced him. Damien walked down the long stairway. "Lord Kasey!" He called my name to the crowd as I slowly and carefully walked down the stairway. Damien took my hand and held me towards Collin, Serenity, Shadow, and Flare. "Okay, we need to try to make zero contact unless important then we'll discuss somewhere else more private. You know the plan." I whisper to them as we stay close together as we danced slowly before we all pulled away to separate directions. Collin secretly tossed Damien a small object into his hand. Damien quickly slipped the object into his pocket before anyone saw him. Damien and I danced as we made our way through the crowd towards Asher, Serenity, Ryder, and Nova. "On lookout," Nova whispers to me as I pass her from behind. I nod my head lightly to signal her I understood. "They're coming. Be prepared. Struck of eleven thirty." Asher mouthed to Damien and Ryder. We danced and ate the feast before more dancing came along.
The people began to play their instruments to a slow song that was awkward for me. Damien put his hands around my waist as I put my hands around his neck to get closer to him to whisper. We fill in the gap between us which was getting awkward for us both. Damien doesn't the same anything but slips a small object on my finger and then I move my hand on his neck. "Whatever you do...don't use your demonic sword." Damien tells me quietly that I question him. "Why is that?" I gave him a look. "Trust me on this, please. I know we haven't talked since we were younger. I know the scars you hide but I don't care. I don't care how many lives gone or the number of lives with a scar in their memories. I don't care about your title or who you are. I don't care about that. I care about you." Damien confesses his feelings. "Y-You be serious. You're messing with me." I said wanting this to be true but it just can't. Sure that Damien is a bandit and I am an assassin. How can our lives work without complications? It wouldn't work and I need to focus on other important things. The slow song begins to fade. "I am definitely serious. Why can't you give me a chance? I've waited for so long." Damien asked wanting a reason or two. "We can't. Our lives are different and you wouldn't understand because I don't know how to explain it." I told him. "You tried to run away for me. Why can't you do that now?" Damien asked me. "That's a quite cruel for my people. I know it's wrong but I love what I do. I enjoy the people and the work I do." I told him my reason that I couldn't leave this all behind me. "You left your family. That was a bit cruel don't you think?" Damien brings my family into this conversation. "You don't know the real reason I left. Collin, Micah, and Shadow know but you don't." I told him as I gave him a death glare. "Stop trying to pick up fights to make you look stronger. You're not strong at all, so stop acting like it." Damien says raising his voice at me. "Control your own wolf. Was this wrong to even run away to be with you?" I respond to him. "What did you do for me? Nothing beside 'running away' from home." Damien snaps. "I was willing to leave my life behind. I was kidnapped for goodness sake. I gave you the freedom to live without Claire ruining it so you could be happy. I left so you could focus on more important things. I am not good enough for you. I go darn ruining people and..." I stop before I said another word. "You're so selfish. Making this all about you." Damien says getting mad. "You know what! Maybe we don't know each other anymore like we use to. I am dying!" I revealed to him about my health as I run off. I tripped on my dress but luckily gain my balance from falling when I was getting away from Damien. "You alright, miss?" A voice I recognized in a heartbeat. The voice belonged to my brother Malachi. I saw my sister Jade and my cousin coming towards Malachi. I was hoping someone would come by to save me from this situation but nobody did. "Have I seen you around?" Malachi asked looking deep into my hazel eyes trying to find answers. "Malachi!" Jade called out but stop to look at me. "Can I answer a question from you?" I asked as Malachi snaps back into reality. "Sorry to ask this but do I know you? You remind me of my sister." Malachi says. I am sure in trouble now and once they find out that I am their sister that's been gone forever. I know surely something is going to happen. "I don't think we've ever met before. This is my first time here." I denial though I knew that I've been to these kinds of events before. "No, I am sure I know you quite well. Those eyes and how they shine in the light. I know you." Malachi keeps talking trying to remember. "That medallion looks like our family's. Wow, that's funny." Jade giggles with a smile. "Lord Kasey, we need to go now!" Collin says running up to me. "Sir Collin, is that you?" Malachi instantly remembers Collin. "Excuse us!" I said trying to get through but Malachi keeps questioning. "Now, Kasey!" Collin says as we tried but no luck. "Away!" I shout as I run past them away from the ballroom. I meet Micah where nobody else is. We quickly ripped the dress with our armor now showing. "Hope Nova won't mind." Micah snickers as she shrugs her shoulders. "Yeah..." I fake laugh. "I saw it all...I know it was hard but sometimes I think he's right about you to know but then again you're doing it for others." Micah says. "I guess I am too harsh with anyone. I am really cruel and he's right. Maybe I should say I called it a life soon?" I said sadly as to what I reacted to Damien.
Punch and a kick. More enemies to come as they ran towards us in the ballroom as the guests moved away. Some royal families help fight against our enemies. "You're not getting away with this!" I said to Archer. Archer had killed the leader to control Nightfield. Damien's bandit guild came to help us as well. "Miss me?" Archer laughs evilly. "How could I ever miss you!" I shout at him using my glaive sword to block his sword. "I wanted to say I am sorry," Archer said. "Sure you did. And you thought the best idea was to invade the masquerade ball?" I said not buying it. "We're bandits what you expect?" Archer replies. "I chose the assassin life and you chose the bandit life." "This is why we couldn't make it work. We were never meant to be." Archer told me. "Why couldn't we make it work?" I asked as we continued to fight. Meanwhile, Damien was fighting against his enemy Terra. "Stay away from her!" Damien growls. "It's you or her." Terra laughs evilly going for another hit but Damien blocked the hit. "I'm a retired bandit. I stopped my old ways." Damien refuses. "Then it's the girl. Archer will be happy to hear this." Terra smirks as she kicks him. "Don't you dare hurt her!" Damien swings again with his sword. "Too late for that, lover boy." Terra laughs and casts a spell on him. Terra snaps her finger and two bandits beat him up. "Give it up already." Archer laughs at me. I shall not." I refused and fainted from exhaustion. "Take the bandit away." Archer laughs as the bandits clear out of the castle.

"I am going to murder him in his sleep!" I said in frustration after rereading the letter over and over again. "Kasey, you in there?" Micah and Collin banged on the door. "Go away!" I cried out as I fell to my knees. "Kasey, I know it hurts really bad...but you need to run this guild and everyone here is on your side. Flare comes to visit often to check up on you." Micah tells me as I was leaning my back against the door. They didn't understand why I was like this. They didn't understand the bond that Damien and I shared before we had an argument. I am connected with him and knowing he's not here makes everything hurt. "I need to go back home...I need to get Damien back. I need to kill Archer without any regrets." I said loud enough for Micah and Collin to hear me. "You really want to do this?" Collin asks me to know if this is what I want. "Yes, it's time I go back to face my family," I said. "We leave tomorrow bright and early. Micah, you, Shadow, and I alone." Collin confirms. "I am coming for you Damien...please keep fighting a bit longer," I whisper as I start to gather my things for the journey ahead. I had to take care of the guild and make sure everything wouldn't go crazy while I am gone.
