Chapter XI

"Noah, where is he?" I asked him to tell me where Seth was. "Y-You came back," Noah said excitedly. I showed my true appearance without my mask but I still wore my armor like always. I had my werewolf ears showing all the time with my natural blue hair flowing in the wind. I still had the patch covering my eye but people have gotten used to it. "Romeo is at the festival talking with people. He's been trying to distract himself and hasn't looked at another girl. You have him glued to you and I don't know how you did it." Noah laughs as I joined in. "I don't know either and to be truthful I don't know what he sees in me. I've waited to come here but I had to wait until the time was right. I planned out when I was coming back." I smiled as Noah led me the way. I spotted Seth talking with some friends and I saw his parents talking with some other neighboring rulers. I thanked Noah for his help and he watched me run to Seth. "Seth!" I called out to the crowd of people to get his attention. Seth recognized that voice any day as he turned his head to see the one he been waiting. Seth ran towards her and hugged her tightly. "Missed me too much?" I teased him lightly with a smirk on my face. Seth was going to reply but I interrupt him with a passionate kiss. Seth was caught by surprise but he wasn't going to complain. Seth lets off the kiss and goes in for another short quick kiss. "I've missed you. You don't know how long I wanted to see your-" I cut him off before he could say anything else to embarrass me. "Shh. I know, Seth. Me as well but I needed time to heal from the big scars." I put my finger to his lip before letting go. "You and your attitude. Trying to shut me up this time." Seth laughs as he wraps his arm around my waist and pulling me closer to him as he kissed my neck. I slapped him lightly because people would begin to stare at us. "Seth, we told you not to be hanging with-" Peyton, who's longer queen, tries to tell Seth that she didn't want me around. "He's king and you hold no power to change him. Make his own decisions because I know he's capable of making them. " I snap at Seth's mother. "Who do you think you are miss?" Levon asks me. Seth's parents didn't know who I was but it was quite amusing to see them without knowing my title. I could feel that Seth was embarrassed and I spot the corner of my eye that Noah was slowly trying to avoid this conversation as much as possible. "Oh, I definitely know that I am Queen Icelyn of Glacial. That's right you heard me don't need to act shocked." I laughed at their faces. "You're the runaway princess, you're that girl that traveled here, you're the girl were on 'Wanted' poster, and you're that assassin girl." They point out. They basically summarized my life so much for trying to live it when someone's telling you what you did. It's not like I was there or anything because obviously, I was doing it all. Noah finally came to us as he was still nervous about his parents would blow up. Seth started to play with my finger and fiddling with his seal ring that was still on my finger. He's going to lose a finger if he breaks my finger. "Stop it," I whined and Seth immediately stops. "Y-You gave her a ring?" Peyton dramatically says wanting to faint. "Don't cause a scene. It doesn't look good in the crowd. It's called a seal ring. Not an engagement or wedding ring. There's a difference but you two wouldn't know that." I roll my eyes but Seth glares at me to stop talking. Noah tries his best to hold in his laughter. "So you aren't engaged. I know this girl who comes from a good family and-" Seth finally has the courage to tell his parents to stop running his life. "No, father! And you as well, mother. I am king so I make the decision and I'll choose who I want to marry and love." Seth narrows his eyes. I was proud of him that Seth told his parents that he was in charge now. "I agree with Seth. You push us around too much and stress Seth out for no reasons. When she first came here...I knew she was different and Seth felt love at first sight. She basically brought his personality out and he learned to fight back from Icelyn's mouth," Noah stands up as well to his parents. "Yeah! Wait what-" I said realizing he was talking about me. "I follow my own ways in life. You can either leave this kingdom or appreciate what we do." Noah finishes. "If I see you hurt Noah or Seth, I'll have my people come at you. My people aren't nice when there's a threat involved." I threatened them as they leave us alone.

"Lord Kasey...I mean Queen Icelyn..what do we address you as?" Eve asked kindly. "Lord Icelyn will be alright...it's weird people calling me a queen." I chuckled as I remember my short coronation with my friends, Red Moon Pack members, the guild members, Noah, and Seth showing up to see me crowned ruler of Glacial. "Lord Icelyn...we all took a silent vote that you need to be kicked out of the guild. Your service has done great things but you need to focus on Glacial and the people. It's nice to retire from your long service." Collin tells me truthfully as everyone nods their head. "I already was planning on being forced to retire. Feel free to come see me whenever...I'll always have time for my assassins." I smiled trying my best not to cry. "Even if you weren't a queen, you're our goddess of assassins." Ryder bows down to me and all the assassins mimic him. The time had come and I knew this was the signal for me to step down. I loved my service as an assassin and I'll always be an assassin no matter what. Everyone was waiting in the hall sitting down silently. "I pledge on my life. I swear my life to the sword to protect all assassins no matter what. Once an assassin always an assassin," I swore on my life, "I now shall name Serenity the Lady and Asher the Lord." Serenity and Asher were going to run this guild together when usually there's only one leader. The rules have changed as the years go by. "I pledge on my life. Serenity and Asher pledged as they raise their swords in the air and everyone mimics their motions. Serenity and Asher would lead this guild with pride and respect for the name. "Thank you, Lord Icelyn...I mean Queen Icelyn now." Serenity stumbles over her words. "I'll be living so if you need any support send a letter out to me or send Ryder out to get me," I told my friend Serenity. "Icelyn, the wyverns are set to go." Nova lets me know. "We shall meet again. I'll be watching over for this isn't farewell, assassins." I wave to everyone before Nova and I run out to fly out to the royal courtyard.

"Shh. They don't know I came here. They think I'm sleeping but Micah and Collin are covering for me." I put my finger to his lip to talk before I let go of my finger. "Kasey...I mean Icelyn. I've waited so long to see you and I'm glad that I can see your face again." Seth kisses me before I let go. "What's your point?" I smirk knowing he can't-fool me. Seth gets out a small object from his pocket that he's covering and gets down on one knee. "Icelyn, there are no words to describe how beyond beautifully difficult your madness is but I don't mind living with it for the rest of my life. I learned what love meant when I waited for you to come back to me. I didn't doubt you because I know you always have a plan. I couldn't stand knowing you'd be okay with all these dangerous missions. I need you with me because who else will chase my parents away or shut me up. So I am asking you to give me an answer that won't take you a year to decide." Seth said with some comments but I didn't reply. I thought if this was really what I wanted. I knew I let go of my dead mate and Damien meant nothing to me but Seth is something special to me. "R-Romeo, you're lucky that I like you or I'd kill you on that spot," I said. Seth opens the small box to reveal a small ring inside and popped the question he's been wanting to ask. "My assassin, will you marry me?" He said with a smile. "Yes," I said happily. "I've been wanting to say I love you," Seth said as I ran into his arm and he slips the ring onto my finger. "If I didn't love you why would I do this?" I smirked as I kissed him passionately. "Save the hate for my parents when your assassins come chasing after them." Seth laughs and kissed me one more time. Seth held my hand once again as we walked towards the moonlight.
