*Zelda's Diary* Entry 1

Dear diary, Link and I have been best friends for a really long time now, Like a really long time. I've had a crush on him for 2 months now. Almost everyone knows and they're talking about it at school. I'm not sure if Link had heard about this or if he just chose to not believe it. I wonder sometimes if he likes me back but, I'm pretty sure that's impossible. I keep telling myself that I will confess to him but that isn't gonna happen any time soon. I'm gonna meet him by Lake Hylia soon but that isn't until 4:00 and it's only 2:23. Funny how time passes slowly when you're looking forward to something. Midna finds it funny to tease me whenever Link is around and I, quote on quote, do something cute with him. She may be annoying at times but she's actually a really great friend. She was actually the reason I have a crush on him in the first place. It started when we were reading a magazine. We flipped to a page where it was titled 'From Best Friends to Lovers.' I found it utterly ridiculous but Midna found it cute and begged me to read it with her. I gave in after she shot me her puppy eyes. The page was a short story about a guy who was best friends with a girl and eventually fell in love with her. The ironic thing was that the girl had a crush on him too. He confessed his love for her and they kissed and lived happily ever after. I wish life was like a fairy tale where you can live without any problems or worries. Well after reading that page, Midna turned to a page about the "Stages of a Crush" It told you how to get your crush to notice you and how to find out if you have a crush on someone. That's when I slowly realized my feelings for Link. I told Midna a couple weeks later and she told our whole circle of friends who told their friends. Eventually, the whole school knew and everyone told Link. He doesn't really like the people at our school and so he rarely talks to people. Much less believe them which is good on my side. BUT, there are some people he trusts and believes. Which isn't good for me. They haven't told him yet and I pray that they never do. I believe that Saria will tell him unfortunately. She has a crush on Mido and he likes her back. I've been trying to help her with her shyness around him. I actually got her to say Hi once before she blushed and ran away. Poor Mido. Anyway that's all the time I have to write in this. Later!

Link drove us to Lake Hylia where we splashed each other and joked around. After a while, we layed on the grass and started naming clouds. "That one looks like Midna!" I exclaimed pointing at a cloud. "Nah. It looks like an elf." I playfully slapped his arm. "That's cuz you're at a different angle dummy." He chuckled and got up. I sighed and closed my eyes, enjoying the fresh air. All of a sudden I felt warm strong arms pick me up. I squealed and opened my eyes. I turned my head and saw Links smug face looking at me. "Got ya!" I giggled and started squirming. Soon I was facing him. He tripped over a rock and landed on the ground, me on top of him. I smirked, "Well it looks like I have you." He smiled and easily flipped over and got on top of me. "I'm not giving up easily Princess," Ugh I hate it when he calls me that. I frowned and wrapped my arms around him. "I'm not letting go until you call me Zelda." He sighed and picked me up bridal style walking back to the car. I blushed but kept my grip on him. "You give up yet?" He asked. I shook my head. There's no way I'm gonna let him get away with calling me princess. He sat in front of the car, me in his lap. "Call me Zelda or else." He smiled, challenging me. "Or else what?" I sighed. "Or else I'll do something." He just laughed at me, refusing to budge. Ugh. He's such a stubborn person. "Call me Zelda now!" He shook his head and leaned back, closing his eyes. I frowned and playfully slapped him awake. He opened his eyes and stared at me. I pointed a finger at him. "No sleeping lazy butt." He frowned and tried to pull me off. I giggled and held on tight. "I said to call me Zelda, then I'll let go but you refuse to listen." "That's because I don't listen to people." I rolled my eyes. He picked me up again and walked towards the lake. "What are you doing?" He didn't answer. "Link, tell me what your doing right now!" He smirked and we reached the Lake. My eyes widened. I know what he's planning and I don't like it. "Might want to hold your breath Princess." I took a breath in and he jumped. The cold water collided with my warm skin making me freeze. He pulled me up and swam back to shore. I shoved him back in. "Don't you dare do that again!" I yelled and wrung out my dress. He didn't come back up. "Link?" No answer. Not even a sign that he was in the lake. "Link! I'm not up for this game right now! Please come up!" No answer. I opened my mouth again to yell out when I heard something in the trees. I turned and looked. Link jumped down next to me and picked me up. "Hey!" I hit his arm. He laughed and carried me to the car. We drove to my house so that he can drop me off. I got out and walked to his driver window. He rolled it down and looked up at me. "Anything else I can do for you, Zelda?" I leaned down. "Actually, there is one thing I've been meaning to do for a while." "Oh? And what's that?" I smiled at him. "This." I leaned to him and kissed him. He kissed back, which surprised me. We pulled away and I looked at him. "So that's what you needed to do?" I smiled. "Don't get all smart with me." He laughed and kissed me again. "So see you tomorrow?" He nodded and drove away. God I love him!
