The Odd One Out

Zelda's POV:
I walked into the halls to my locker with my hood up. Everything happened so fast I don't even know what happened.
*flashback*
I was startled by a muffled voice right in front of me. I was even more startled when I saw that it was Link, a popular kid in my class. I took off my headphones and gave him a cold glare. "I'm sorry, what did you say?" He chuckled. "I was asking what you were doing all alone." I shrugged. "I just like being alone." "Why?" I shrugged again. "I don't know, I just do." I gave him another glare and opened my phone. "Now was there something specific you wanted to tell me or did you decide to just be plain annoying?" He chuckled at my coldness. "Well I was going to ask you if you wanted to hang with me and my group over there." He pointed over his shoulder to a few other people. 2 boys and a girl. I raised an eyebrow. "You want me to hang out?" He nodded, still smiling. I shrugged. "I guess." He offered me a hand to help me up but I just got up myself. He led me over to the group. "Guys I would like to introduce you to..." He trailed off and I remembered I never gave my name. "Zelda." I stated. They all nodded. The girl, all dressed in green, smiled at me. "Hello Zelda, I'm Saria. These two oafs are Dark and my boyfriend Mido." Mido waved and shook my hand while Dark just grunted. I smiled. "Well it's nice to meet you guys." I looked around curiously. Everyone was staring at me. Everyone. I shifted and squirmed under the judging eyes. Then just like that, lunch was over.
*flashback over*
I let out a sob as I ran out of the school hallway into the rain. No, no, no, no, no, no! I thought they were my friends. Actual friends. I opened up to them. A wave of pain racked my heart as I remembered the sorrow of rejection.
*Another Flashback*
I got a text from Saria. 'Come bhind the school!' I sighed and began walking towards the back. We always meet there. Links group and I. They have got to be my only actual friends. I heard laughing as I walked behind. In a circle were Link, Dark, Mido, Saria, and a bunch of other people I didn't know. Saria waved me over, patting a spot next to her. "Come on Zelds!" Everyone's gaze landed on me. The girls started glaring at me as I walked towards the spot. I sat down and gave Saria a questioning look. She just smiled at me and turned to the group. "So who wants to go first?" A bunch of people rose their hands. Saria picked a blue haired girl. "Okay Lana, Truth or Dare?" My eyes widened. I really hate Truth or Dare. Saria knows this! Lana squinted at her. "Dare. Do your worst." Saria smiled. "I dare you to slap Zelda across the face." My chest tightened as I gave Saria a WTF face. She just smiled cheerfully at me but her eyes glinted angrily. What did I do?! Lana giggled as a girl beside her whispered something to her, Impa I think. She stood up and slowly made her way towards me. I looked at my 'Friends'. They all just watched with amused looks on their faces. Lana now stood in front of me as her hand rose up. I closed my eyes, waiting for the hit. The slap was hard and echoed through the empty spaces. Problem is though, it didn't hurt. I was used to the painful beatings my parents gave me so whatever. I just rubbed my face as Lana went back to her spot, high fiving Impa. "Mido, Truth or Dare?" Lana asked. "Um, let's go with Truth." Lana smiled. "What do you think of Zelda?" I tensed. Why are they targeting me? Mido smiled at me. "To be honest, I think she's just a speck of dust of my shoe that needs to be wiped off." Ouch, that really hurt. I thought we were friends. I kept my mouth shut though. Mido looked at Saria. "Truth or Dare?" Saria gave him a smirk and he nodded. "Dare." Both of their smirks got bigger. "I dare you to kiss Link." I looked at Link who looked satisfied with the dare. I should've known he liked her. Saria got up and kissed Link on the cheek before sitting back down. Saria then looked at me. "Zelda, Truth or Dare?" I glanced around the group nervously. "Um, Can I pass?" Saria shook her head, "I'm afraid you can't sweetie." I shifted around. "Um... Truth?" Her smile grew wider and I knew I made a mistake. "Alright, Do you have a crush on our dear Link here?" My face didn't even turn red, just pale. I slowly nodded. Everyone started laughing. "I told you she liked him!" Saria cackled. Mido doubled over laughing. "She thinks he would date her? The Freak?!" I looked down. So it was all fake then? I looked up at Link who had just stepped in front of me. He sneered. "Nope. Sorry to burst your bubble but why would I like the freak of the school?" I looked down. "I didn't expect or want you to like me buddy." Anger boiled over me. I stood up, I glared at all of them. Some of them took a step back. I looked Link straight in the eyes. "I didn't expect you guys to be my 'Friends' Nor did I need you guys to be my friends." He opened his mouth but I slapped him. " I didn't want you guys to be my friends. Let's not forget who decided to come straight up to me to ask me if they wanted to hang out." The anger tripled as Mido tried to apologize as did Saria. "We just wanted to do a prank Zelds." Saria tried. Mido nodded in agreement. Link looked up at me with sorry eyes. "Zelda we didn't mean for you to feel hurt or anything." I couldn't help it anymore. I started to yell. "I DON'T CARE! YOU ALL PULL A VERY HURTFUL PRANK AND I HATE YOU FOR IT! I DON'T CARE! I DON'T CARE!" Saria put a hand on my shoulder. I shrugged her off feeling tears filling. "DON'T TOUCH ME! DON'T TALK TO ME AND DON'T EVEN TRY TO BE MY FRIENDS AGAIN!" And I ran off crying.                                                                                                                           *End Flashback*

I'm done with this. I'm done with liars. In the end of everything, I will always be the odd one out. 

I'm not sure where I tried going with this. I was sorta like 'Oh I have an idea!' and then lost it and decided to wing it lol. Anyway sorry for the sorta sad and weirdly created chapter. Hope you enjoyed it anyway! Peace!- WolfGal332
