By the time we got outside to our school's public park, which was empty as usual, Charlie had already bailed on us. We sat on a bench and it was uncomfortably silent.

We kept catching glimpses of each other and just smiling.

"Seeing as we're bored, wanna have staring contest?"
***

Oh look I won again

"Best out of five!"

"Seriously we've already had like seven rounds already, Clearly the magnificent Victoria has won." I tease

"We'll see about that" he smirks, snaking his arms around my waist and pulling me closer.

OMG OMG OMG OMG THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE OMG IM SO CLOSE HIM!

"An awkward position like this will be sure to make you lose" he laughs like an evil villain.

I sqirm as he gives me intense eye contact.

"YES! In your face, the magnificent Caleb has beaten you at your own game." I rolled my eyes and cross my arms, moving away from him

"Whatever don't get too cocky; that's just one out of eight rounds"

We have our last staring contest which consists of heavy breathing and tension.

I move closer to try and put him off but he moves even closer. "nice try but do not think I- the magnificent Caleb- had not seen this coming." he tilts his head and smirks.

My eyes twitch for second at how his personality had changed in only two days.

"I'm gonna win" he giggles like a girl but then stops and slowly moves his gaze to my lips, licking his lips in the process.

First of all that was hot and secondly this is my chance to distract him!

I move even closer and aim for his lips

unfortunately for him he blinks. without hesitation, he locks lips with mine.

"Yes! see I told you this would happen, you owe me ten pounds." a person that sounds a lot like Mia said

We moved away from each other in the realisation of what we were doing and look at the bushes from where we heard the sound.

"I think you said that a bit too loud, you cockblocker." the second person who sounds a lot like Charlie.

I and Caleb hear the sound of a slap and a 'ow' before quickly and discreetly running over to the bush while they were arguing.

"Oh Victoria and Caleb, what a coincidence-what are you doing here?" Mia says, playing dumb

"I'd like to ask you the same thing."

"well we were-"

"looking for my phone." Charlie nods

"cut the crap, Charlie, you never have your phone with you at school"

"alright fine," she huffs and stands up, brushing herself off "we were spying on you. sorry"

See that wasn't so hard

"Apology accepted," beginning to walk away. I stop, "But, we shall NEVER talk about this. ever."

"Fine."

"also, Caleb doesn't know how to get to the party so can you-"

"Why can't you do it?" Mia glares at me

"okay, okay I will. When is it? actually, don't answer that, just text me the details."

"so like this?" He circled me, his gaze remained locked on just me. Caleb placed his hand on my back.

"Yep, just like that" feeling relaxed, i allowed a  small smile to form on my lips

we both changed our mind about creating an action packed choreography and focused more on a horror- romance choreography.

we picked out the best song and have already started to plan out our dance, at this rate all we have left is to write an essay about it.

He turned elegantly, His body in melody with the slow tempo of the music. Yet, there was sort of a tenderness, like he was afraid to step out of his comfort zone.

"Wait, stop." I walked over to my phone and paused the music.

"Why what's wrong?" Slightly panting from exhaustion

I walked over to him making space between us and created eye contact, "scare me."

"What?"

"you heard me show me what you're made of." I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow.

"Grrr?"

I narrow my eyes at him and sigh, "do you want to be the victim or the killer in this story?" he hesitates for a second

"the killer." I nodded at his answer. I walked over to a chair and satt on it "you have one last chance to show me how a killer would do this routine..." I use the remote to turn on the music on  "Go."

He starts the routine again but this time he makes his way to me, showing more harshness this time.

his body movement fits the song so well. so discreet, so mysterious. before I knew it, I was very frightened, yet slightly turned on.

while I was distracted, he grabbed the remote from my lap and turns the music off. "is that good enough for you?"

I stood and applauded him, to which he respectfully bows.

Whoa. Miss Sylvia was not kidding
