weeks left until the dance festival

It was back to work for Caleb and I; we sat in a booth at the local coffee shop

We discussed ideas for the themed poster we had to do; all before school started:

"I like this picture," He slid a picture into my view. It was a photo of Belle meeting Beast. Caleb then slid another photo: this time it was a picture of Belle and Beast waltzing together

"I want to talk about the contrast between their relationship before and after getting to know- what is wrong?" He looked at me with concern, "do you not like the idea?"

"No- I mean Yes?- it's a great idea, I just really, really like 'Beauty and the Beast'"

"Is that what it's called? I just got these from Google images" he chuckled and ran his fingers through his hair carelessly.

"Wait what, really? It's a classic, how could one not have watched it?" I was in genuinely shocked

"There's a thing called the outdoors." A smug smile painted on his lips

"Oh ha ha."

He chuckled, "yeah but in all seriousness, I've only ever seen a trailer of it and realized it wasn't my type."

"And yet you picked photos from the movie to use as examples," I cross my arms,

"still, you should watch the movie," I said with excitement, "I'll even give you my copy of the movie" I clapped my hands and squealed.

"Right, just as soon as I get through Naruto then-"

"Watch it!"

"Okay, okay calm thyself," he took the pictures out of my hands and placed it back into his school bag, "we should be heading to our lessons now."

I checked my watch

8:30

"Oh right, yeah" I hastily packed up all my things.

"Careful," Caleb placed his hand over mine. He looked at me before he took the poster out of my hands and focused on carefully rolling up the poster, clearing his throat, "you were about to ruin the poster."

"sorry"

I only made it to the exit before I realised it was raining. caleb joined me at the exit.

"It's fine, we can just get the bus." I ran a hand down my face frustrated.

Caleb pulled me into the pouring rain almost immediately; into the crowded bus stop. just in time for the buses arrival.

We got off at the school bus stop with a decent amount of time left before lessons started.

"Caleb!"

Caleb and I both turned around to see Nicole running with a umbrella in one hand and a box in the other.

"oh hey Victoria," she linked her arm with Caleb's arm and kissed him on the cheek, "sorry I didn't see you there."

"It's fine" I pursed my lips, looking for a way out of this soon to be "third-wheel" situation.

I quickly slipped on my coat, "I'm gonna go find the others"

"What's in the box?" was the last thing I heard before their conversation became inaudible.

Mia was at her locker talking to Charlie. instantly, I pulled her away into the girls toilets without any explanation.

"What was that for?-"

"I think I might have a slight crush on Caleb and I don't know how-oh God help me- Mia help me!"

"Oh wow..." She stroked her chin, thinking, then sighing "welp, you're screwed"

I grabbed her arm to stop her from leaving. "Mia, come on, this is my first ever crush, I kissed him for crying out loud; and now -to put the cherry on the cake- now he has a girlfriend! Help?" I pleaded.

"I really don't see how I can help you 'cause like you said, "he has a girlfriend""

I got onto my knees and gave her the biggest puppy eyes and pout I could do.

"Stop that young lady."

I got off the floor, "pwease? Just a little information will do a lot."

She gave me a insure look almost as if she was going to make the biggest mistake of her life.

"Ugh fine, I heard that today is his birthday if that helps"

That makes it worse-i don't even have a gift-

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have told you that..."

"well, thank you anyway." I gave her a bear hug lazily

"No problemo." after that she left me alone to plan on what I was to do next.
