I got out of bed, rubbing the sleep from my eyes and walking towards the door. Ugh, I felt unbelievably ill and my head was killing me. You know that throbbing, pounding feeling thaat you get from a tremendous headache? Yeah, mine is like that but about 5 times more painful. It's like a ping pong ball is trapped inside of my head, and all it does is bounce side to side. I'm exhausted and all I want is to lie down again, even though I've just gotten up.

A hurried rustling came from behind my bedroom door, and I looked at it in confusion. What the hell? "Jo! Are you up? Please open the door!" I opened the door painfully slow - I didn't feel like seeing or talking to anybody at the moment but he'd already heard me. "Yes... What the heck do you want?" I rolled my eyes and held my head as Ashton appeared. "What's been wrong with you lately? First, you lock me out and then you have this attitude with me?" "It's nothing personal Ash, I just don't want to see anyone right now." "I'm your boyfriend, you know that you can always to talk to me." "Why can't you just leave me alone!? I don't need you here!" He just gave me this disappointed sort of look, folded his arms and left. Rolling my eyes and sighing, I jumped onto my bed.

Niall's POV:

"Sejal, wait up!" I shouted, running after her. "Do you know where Jo is? I haven't seen her at all and she hasn't come to school in days!" She stopped and sighed. "Look, Niall. Maybe you should stay away from Jo for a little while. I mean, she's not exactly in the best mood right now. She doesn't want to talk to anyone and even I haven't seen her! Me. Her own best friend. So I suggest that we all just leave her alone, Ok?" Turning on her heels and walking off, I stared at her in pure confusion.

Time seemed to slow down as I sat there, watching everybody dance, drink and laugh. The strobe lights seemed to make my headache worse, and the blasting music kept ringing in my ears.

"Hey there," A handsome young man took a seat next to me. I'd say probably 20 years old. Sharp features. Piercing ocean-blue eyes that you can't stop staring into. Silky, dark brown hair and pale skin. "How are you? You ok? You looked kind of lonely so I've decided to join you. That's a nice ring you have there." His eyes quickly averted from the ring to my finger,  to my eyes. "Not much of a talker are you?"

In my head, I hesitated before I spoke. I mean,  I didn't know the guy but he seemed nice enough.

"My name's Jo. Nice to meet you." He shot me a satisfied grin, leaning back in his seat. "I knew that I could get you to talk."
