"So, Jo. What's your story?"

"Why would I tell you anything?" Shooting him a grin, he smiled as he gulped down yet another shot that the bartender had just put down for him.

"Answering a question with a question... You're a tough nut to crack. Is it love? Are you heart broken? Take it from someone who's had experience, love is a waste of time. You give everything to one person that you truly care about, and instead they decide to back stab you and stomp all over you."

"Stop doing that."

"What?" He looked surprised and taken aback, as if he wasn't expecting this answer at all.

"Rolling your eyes, staring at me flirtatiously." I couldn't help but giggle. "Anyway, what sid you say your name was?"

"I didn't. See you around, darling." Taking one last shot, he got up, winking at me before turning to leave.

What. A. Weirdo.

A kind of cute weirdo.

Picking up my jacket, I headed out of the club, tugging at my red dress. A hand grabbed my shoulder gently, but it freaked me. Gasping, I quickly realised who it was even in the dim street lights. "I thought you left?" I questioned. It was the guy from the club but, what was he still doing here?

"You didn't really think that I'd just leave you there, like an asshole? Come on, I'll drop you home."

Without even hesitating, I stepped into his car and fastened the belt in the passenger's seat.

Stepping out of the guy's car, I shivered as I wrapped my jacket tighter around me. He walked me to the front porch, and we kind of stood there awkwardly for a few seconds before I broke the silence.

"Thank you so much.. um..."

"It's Daniel. Just call me Dan if you want." For a flickering moment, I saw a warm, kind spark in his eyes, before they returned to his detached, cold blue ones. "Thank you Daniel. Oh and, just in case you're curious... Yes. It is relationship trouble."

"I knew it! From the moment I met you." He dug his hands deep into his jean pockets, smiling a wicked,  cold smile at me, not breaking eye contact. Surprising him with a sudden kiss to his cheek, I walked inside and shut the door, leaving him standing there.
