A Ticking Clock:
Chapter 13:
Felicity's POV:
I laid down in the multicolored feathers with Finnegan. "That was fun." I smiled and looked at him. "Yeah." He sat up. I sat up too as we heard Margaret and Theodore calling us. We both stood up and wiped the feathers off of us. He grabbed my hand and we walked towards them. "What were you guys doing?" they asked as Theo got a feather out of my hair. "We had a really big pillow fight." I smiled and Finnegan smiled too. "With who?" Margaret asked. "The other children who live in the kingdom with Finn." I smiled as Finnegan took me into his house.
Theodore's POV:
"See what I mean." Margaret said to me as we walked deep into the forest. "I see now, he's a lot like my sister." I said, picking up torn pages from picture books. "He's been saying that he's the king of a big kingdom since he was 4. Now he plays with the other children and monster servants too." She sighed and started cleaning up. "He'll get better soon." I said, helping her clean up the torn pages and the books they vandalized. "Thanks." She said as we threw it away. "You're welcome." I said back. We walked back up to the house and heard Felicity and Finn upstairs in his room. "Don't make a mess!" Margaret yelled upstairs and got no reply. She sat on the couch and I sat beside her.
Felicity's POV:
"We need to put on a disguise so the spies won't see us." He said drawing on my face with special paint. "What if they notice us? I don't want to die." I said softly. "We'll be alright. I'll protect you." he said and continued. I smiled and waited for him to finish. I looked around to see his neat room with everything placed in a certain spot. "I have to keep my room clean so people won't take my stuff." He said and I nodded.
