*Later that night*

Miss Jones was sleeping in her cell. She didn't just sleep, she dreamed. In her dream, she was laying down in a completely white area. When she "woke up", she got up and looked around very confused.
"Where am I?" she asked herself.
Miss Jones' mother, Lane Burthorn appeared in the same place behind her.
"Kit," said Lane.
Miss Jones turned around.
"Mom?!" said Miss Jones filling with tears. She ran up to Lane and hugged her. She was crying.
"I never thought I would meet you in heaven!" cried Miss Jones.
"But you're not in heaven Kit. This is your dream and I am visiting you. But you wouldn't have gone to heaven anyway."
"You heard me talk to you last night?? Mom I'm so sorry for what I've done! I was just," Miss Jones' mom cut her off.
"You should be kit! What you did and tried to do was horrible! You are right, you have shamed me, and you should be ashamed of yourself too!"
"I know mom," said Miss Jones.
"I know how hard it is for you to have to live without me, but that's no excuse to ruin other kid's lives. Especially if they are orphans!"
"I know, and I feel horrible about how I treated those kids, but now, it's too late."
"Kit! It's NEVER too late to change! You have plenty of time to be a better person. And you can start by doing the right thing.
"How? What should I do?" Miss Jones asked.
"I think you need to think for yourself. It won't be easy, but you will eventually find a way." said Lane, Miss Jones' mother.
"Yeah, I guess."
"The sun is coming up now, so it's time for you to wake up soon. I'm going to leave now, but you think about what I said Kit. I love you and I will be here for you every step of the way."
"Thanks mom. I love you too."
Both Miss Jones and her mother hugged and the dream came to an end. When Miss Jones woke up, she sat up on the side of her bed.
Do the right thing, she thought.
Suddenly, Miss Jones had an idea. She jumped up and ran to her cell door.
"Officer Stacey?! Alex??" she yelled.
Officer Alex came down the cell hall to cell twenty two.
"What do you want?!" he asked

*Later at the orphanage*

All the orphans were hanging out in the same room together enjoying their new toys and devices. But then their new caretaker, Miss Paulina, ran into the room.
"Kids! It's time for adoption day! Please get dressed and come down stairs in ten minute!
"Okay!" all the orphans said. Franny barked happily too.
"Come on Franny. Let's put on your new diamond collar," said Courtney.
"Well guys, this may be it! One or more of us will be leaving today!"
"I hope I get a new mommy and daddy," said Kendal.
"I hope the right parent adopts me," said Taylor.
"Well, let's all go and find out!" said Courtney excitedly. And so all the orphans of Sunny Tampa Orphanage ran downstairs.
"Alright. Is everyone ready?" asked Miss Paulina.
"Yes!" said the orphans.
"Okay. I will let them in." Miss Paulina opened the door to let everyone in to see the orphans. But it wasn't just any one who came to the door, it was Officer Alex, Officer Stacey, and Stacy's sister named Jen.
"Hello!" said Officer Alex.
"Hi!" said Officer Stacy.
"Why hello!" said Jen.
"Hi! Welcome to Sunny Tampa Orphanage! Come in!" said Miss Paulina as she let the visitors in.
"All the orphans are lined up right over there," said Miss Paulina. "Is there a specific age you are looking for?"
"Actually, age doesn't really matter to me and my wife," Officer Alex said. The orphans were very confused.
"Officer Alex, our new care taker is nice. Don't worry," said Courtney.
"Oh. We're not here to arrest anyone Courtney. We're here to adopt."
"Well, you've come to the right place!" said Miss Paulina.
"Courtney, Taylor, and Kendal. Can you three please come here?" The three girls were very confused but obeyed.
"I'm very sorry you girls had a rough start to life, but I have a hunch it will only get better in three minutes," said Officer Alex.
"Wait, are you saying," Officer Stacey cut Courtney off.
"You girls are sweet and caring, and you have made me want to have kids of my own. I know you girls have been through so much, so Officer Alex and I want to make your lives better. A certain someone suggested we adopt you three. So we took that advice without ever batting an eyelash. And I guess a puppy wouldn't hurt either."
"Well take them!" said Officer Alex with a smile. The three girls cheered with happiness knowing they were going to a loving family.
"You may continue to call us Officer Alex and Stacey until you are ready to call us mom and dad," said Officer Alex.
"Wait! Officer Stacey? You're sister. Doesn't she want to adopt?" asked Courtney.
"Why, yes I do!" said Jen.
"Bailey?" Bailey walked over to Jen and they both said hello and shook hands.
"This is Bailey. Her father left her and her mom kicked her out of the house," said Courtney.
"Really?!" said Jen in shock.
"And you know, this could work out! Kendal, Taylor and I could become sisters which would allow us to see each other more often. And Bailey would be our cousin!"
"Bailey, I would love to adopt you!" said Jen.
"And I would love to be your daughter!" Bailey ran up to Jen and hugged her tight as a way of saying thank you. Marvin, Autumn, Courtney and Kendal cheered with happiness."
"So, are you girls ready to get going?" asked Officer Stacey.
"Sure! But first, can we have some time to pack and say goodbye?" asked Courtney.
"Of course you can!" said Officer Alex. "Take all the time you need! We need to sign some adoption papers anyway."
"Great! Come on guys! And Franny!" The three newly adopted girls started walking upstairs while very excited about the fact that they will finally have parents. Bailey just stayed downstairs since she had nothing to pack. But then the doorbell rang. The girls peeked downstairs to see who it was. Miss Paulina opened the door. There were two women and one man. She let them in. The three girls just went upstairs thinking it was nothing too important. The nice man and woman adopted Marvin. But, Autumn saw a nice lady with half of a heart necklace on just like the one she had on.
"Mom?!" Autumn asked.
"Autumn?!" the woman asked.

*Upstairs*

"Well, this is it guys! We're going off with a new family! Together!" Courtney squealed with excitement.
"First were friends, and now were going to be sisters! How many orphans can say that?" said Taylor.
"I can't believe it! Courtney is going to be my big sister!!" Kendal squealed with excitement.
"I sure am Kendal! I sure am!"
"Is everyone ready?" asked Taylor.
"Yep!" said Courtney and Kendal.
"Now let's go make a family!" The orphans ran downstairs.
But when the three newly adopted sisters got downstairs, they saw Marvin with his new mom and dad, and Autumn with her long lost mom. The three girls gasped.
"That's right Courtney! We're all getting adopted!!" said Marvin proudly.
"And I found my long lost mom!!" said Autumn.
"Oh my gosh guys! I'm so happy for you all!!" said Taylor happily.
"Right back at you," said Autumn.
All the orphans hugged each other and said their goodbyes and good lucks. They even made a promise to stay best friends no matter what happens. But before the three sisters left, Courtney decided to have a private conversation with Marvin.
"Well Marvin, I guess this is goodbye," said Courtney.
"No its not! We still have the phone and skype! And I can come visit you!" said Marvin.
"Yeah. I guess so."
"Courtney, before you go, I have something to tell you."
"What is it Marvin?"
"I know we've only known each other for five days, but I....I really like you.....and .....Um."
"Ugh, just kiss her already!!" said Autumn.
"What?! No! I wasn't going to kiss you! I swear! I just-."
Before Marvin could finish, Courtney leaned forward and kissed him.
"I really like you too Marvin," said Courtney with a smile. Courtney and her two new sisters walked to the door together.
"Bye guys! Keep in touch!" said Courtney
"By Courtney!" said the other kids. Marvin was too love struck to say anything.

*On the car ride to the girl's new home*

"You girls are going to love our house!" said Officer Alex. "We have a separate home. The police station is where we sleep for emergencies, but our big house is our real home. We have three extra rooms for you three each to take. And tomorrow, we will take you three on a shopping spree. And well get Franny a collar and license tag."
"Great!" said Courtney.
"Yay! Thanks guys!" said Kendal.
"You know, I never thought Kit, who is so evil, would do this one act of kindness to us!" Officer Stacy said to Officer Alex.
"What?!"
