Authoress' Note: I will admit that I wrote and rewrote this chapter's ending several times, changing the story slightly. The original title is the basis of what will happen in this being the last major chapter of this story. This will be followed with a short epilogue that will reveal the direction this story's going to go. The character's story that I will be writing about will be slightly revealed this chapter.

Yes, I am aware that I am neglecting the other stories, but I felt my writing kind of suffered due to my studies. I confess that finding the time to write was difficult, but it will change shortly for a bit due to the upcoming holidays. I truly find it easier to write since there's less pressure of what is expected of me.

I have been inspired by the latest episodes of Dragon Ball Super. I still like how I portrayed an evil Goku better though because he was a bit more sadistic and a total asshole compared to the one that they fought against. Not spoiling how the arc ended, but I was slightly disappointed at the direction it took. I'm almost tempted to rewrite that freaking arc the way I envision it because I have SO many ideas. Unfortunately, I should wait to write after I finish some of these others. At least I threw one reference from the arc into this chapter. It's a small nod to the evil bastard who I keep anonymous due to spoilers.

Chapter 43-A Reason to Fight

Since Bardock's return to their universe, he headed home to bathe and change. While he enjoyed the armor, he had grown rather fond to the earthen clothing he had been wearing for years since it seemed less restrictive. Not only that, but felt lighter and more natural for him to wear such a thing now than it used to be. While the armor had its uses during the trials, he had gone through at least two sets during their time on the planet, which hindered his fighting style after a time due to readjusting to the weight differences.

'Alright, now that I am clean, I should head...' Bardock was interrupted when his head began to ache.

_______

Unlike the other times, the cursed warrior found himself in a large field of grass under an amethyst sky. Bardock had no idea where he was this time and looked around when he saw a glimpse of someone he had not seen in what felt like an eternity standing there. Of course, he was confused when he vanished suddenly.

A moment later, a reddish brown-haired male appeared before Bardock. Blue eyes stared into his and for a few heartbeats, Bardock was dumbfounded. He had no idea what was going on and why he was being denied a glimpse of someone he had nearly forgotten about.

"It is too soon," the male moved towards the cursed warrior. "You might want to more know about his fate, but I am afraid you will have to wait a bit longer, Bardock."

"Why? I have every right to know..." Bardock started, but the man tapped his forehead and the cursed warrior fell backwards...

_______

The vision immediately ended there and Bardock found himself once more in his house. He knew something was coming, something that he had not seen in his visions before.

'That was different than usual,' Bardock seemed both angry and confused. 'Who was that guy and what was he trying to hide about... no, I shouldn't think about it... I need to get back to Kakarrot before he wonders what happened to me...'

_______

Meanwhile within one of the rooms in the Halls of Unity, Goku sat there troubled from the vision he had seen a while ago. Scrix remained by the distressed warrior's side to keep his energy in check, but the younger Saiya-jin's power seemed to spike every occasionally.
