Screwed up like me...

Y/N pulled away from the kiss, shocked and confused from it. He liked it, but he thought Silica liked Kirito. But he didn't care at all, he finally has Silica.

"Calm down please, I hate it when you say things like that. You don't deserve to be in pain anymore".

"..... You took it away then, it's dull..".

Silica smiles from that comment, she helps Y/N up and guides him out of the cave. She helped him remove the arrows from his body, and healed him.

"About everything that happened, I'm grateful you came to help me, thank you, I can bring back Pina".

"Anything for you".

"Just... Don't get killed for me again".

"Can't promise you that...".

Both of them laughed, they soon left the dungeon entrance, and made their way back to Arcadia. Nightfall is coming soon, and it's time to bunk down once again.

As they rested by the fire, Silica leaned against the Y/N's shoulder nervously.

Is kissing him the right way to do this, I don't know... Maybe it was a bad idea, but I don't want to break his heart, he already been through enough as it is... Telling him would destroy him. I still have Kirito in mind, he's my first crush.

I never seen Y/N smile before, he's finally relaxing too.

Does she even like me, was that kiss out of pity, if it is... I'm not sure if it even meant anything to her then.

Yeah, she did it to make me smile, she stills like Kirito...

"That kiss, you did it out of pity did you, you still like Kirito do you?".

Silica stood silent, and turned red from it. Y/N heart blackened, Silica still liked Kirito. He gets up, dusts off his clothing, and walks away.

"I need to walk for a bit, I'll be right back".

I knew it was to good to be true, how could anyone like someone so messed like me, suicidal, crazed, lunatic... PTSD, and gets the people he loves killed. Who in the right mind would ever like me...

Y/N walks through the forest, his mind warping, and descending into the darkest depths. A tear goes his cheek as he passes through the bridge.

"What's the point in living, if I can't be happy. No matter what I do, I'll always hurt people".

He looks at his reflection in the water, and touches it. He ponders about the idea of drowning, but was interrupted by the sound of growling from a wolf.

"Go ahead, eat me then".

The wolf sensed his sadness, and sees his teary eyes. He walks towards Y/N, and nuzzles it's head against Y/N's lap.

"Thank you, I need a friend".

"But you'll end up dead too, like Amelia, the guild, the village, I couldn't save Ella, and I almost got Silica killed".

The wolf licks Y/N in the cheek, and stares into Y/N's eyes.

"Why are you standing here, leave before I get you killed...".

"Go..".

"I SAID GO!".

The wolf didn't leave his side, it remained resting on his lap. This brought Y/N into tears, in which wolf began whining.

"Y/N, are you okay?".

The wolf growled at Silica, it was protecting Y/N from her.

"Don't boy, she's okay. I'm fine Silica... I'm peachy".

"I'm sorry for hurting you like that, I just wanted to make you happy".

"You did for a sec, the pain dulled".

"Your right to like Kirito, he's perfect... He hasn't lost his sister, had an entire village destroyed... And caused a little girl to die... Nobody wants someone as screwed up as me".

"Y/N stop talking like that".

"I'm messed up in the head, from PTSD, to suicidal in nature. It's a death sentence to love me, because I put everyone in danger".

"Stop talking please!".

Silica walked towards Y/N, only for the wolf to stop her in her tracks.

"No, you can't help me, I'm a lost cause... You have your crystal, you know your way back...".

Y/N gets up, and began walking away.

"Goodbye Silica forever...".

Silica screamed for Y/N to come back, but he ignored her pleas, and kept walking into the wilderness. Enemies began spawning, but they didn't dare attack him, they all sensed something from him, it made them come with grief.

For now, he'll go far away from his home, to get away from the people he loves most, so they can be safe.
