The Heart of Arcadia

The group traveled several days, passing through forests, open plains, and even the beautiful cherry blossom forest. They neared Arcadia, along with the village that Y/N tried to save... Now rebuilt.

Everything, it has been rebuilt from the debris and ashes, it amazed Y/N greatly. That amazement turned to guilt when he saw the 400 graves of players, and the graves of villagers.. including Amelia's tomb, decorated with flowers.

A sign appeared before the graves, with something inscribed into it.

The youngest player to die, Amelia Williams, died saving the Hero of Arcadia, along with the four hundred brave souls who resisted the Nazi War Machine.

Y/N stared at the statue of himself, he despised it greatly, he felt guilty for having 400 souls dead.

Lisbeth
"Hey, it's not your fault, remember?".

"Still, what if i could've fought harder, those people would still be alive".

Lisbeth
"You can't change the past, but you can do what's right in the present, so things will get better in the future. Also, I know there's time where you forget what for fighting for, just remember... When we eventually escape from this game, I'll be waiting for you".

Lisbeth hugs Y/N, making the rest of the group to awe. Several minutes later, they appear in front of several heavily armored knights.

"Yes sir.... Y/N!".

"Hello Ymir".

Knight Ironheart
"It's you, your still kicking!".

"Look, Kunlun has been razed to the ground demons from the Nether realm, and they request your aid".

Knight Ymir
"Demons razed Kunlun, that can't be... No... That's literally impossible from gaming standpoint!".

"Beg your pardon?".

Knight Ymir
"Kingdoms can be damaged, but this game is still beta, the developers didn't add the whole city destroying thing.... Plus, why would Nether realm attack Kunlun, it doesn't make any sense".

"Unless... God herself agro them".

"You think Athena is doing this?".

Knight Ymir
"Possibly, She did recently patched somethings... Arcadia has been hit pretty by invading Barbarian attacks and raids from NPC guilds, Haven and several other Kingdoms are facing increased activity with barbarians".

Knight Ironheart
"Have you heard about what's happening in Pantheon Online and Valkyrie Online, a war is coming".

Lilith
"I knew it would happen, what else is going on?".

Knight Ymir
"Aether Prime? They're threatening us Avalon Players, saying we "invading" their territory... We may have a war of our own soon if things don't go well".

"Alright look, I'll be heading to Valkyrie for Alfhiem, then I'll come back to see what I can do for the whole Aether Prime situation".

Knight Ymir
"Alright, we'll notify all guilds in Arcadia, good luck on your mission Revenant".

"Revenant?".

Knight Ymir
"Of course, it takes all lot to kill you....".

"It's better than little boy that Ingrid calls you".

"Yeah... I suppose.... ".

Y/N turns to see a grave, the name inscribed onto the stone slab. It's Ella's memorial.

"Sis".

He walked towards it, a screenshot of Ella was inprinted on the stone, a picture of her when she first logged on. Y/N kneeled down, and placed his hand on the memorial.

"I miss you, you troll...".

"..................".

"Alright, let's head out!".
