Looking in his eyes I seen nothing but shock and disbelief. I don't blame him. But a part of me wished I seen something else. For I had a feeling I know what was going to happen next. His arms seemed to drop to his sides, no longer holding me. Moving away from him. I stood up once more.
"We gotta get moving." I said, as I walked ahead of everyone. Walking out of the building I tried to hold in my tears. Whipping my face of any tears that remained stained to my face, I waited for the others. Once they exited the building, they just glanced at me before walking ahead. I knew this was gonna happen. If only Thomas was here.
Before long we finally reached this big white building that looked like some kind of hotel. I could hear the sound of load music being played inside and the sound of partying. There was no one at the entrance to greet us, so we let ourselves in. But as soon as we entered I heard Teresa call out something.
"Thomas!!" She cried as she rushed to a figure passed out on the floor.
"Marcus!" I heard Jorge call out. As soon as he went towards Marcus he punched him square in the noise. It was a surprise no one noticed. As I made my way towards Thomas I noticed a strange smell on him. It was familiar, but strange. As if I knew it, but from another life. Leaning closer in, I smelt his breath to smell a familiar scented drug.
"Come on. Get him up." Newt said as the guys came around to pick Thomas off the ground. We then called Marcus who then led us away from the party into a quiet room.
Once we got there, the guys sent Thomas down on a bed while Teresa didn't leave his side. They really do love one another. As I sat down on a chair, I watched as Jorge tied Marcus to a chair and began to question him. And when he wouldn't talk, he'd punch him. It went on for hours and he still didn't talk. Also by that time, Thomas woke up and Jorge was started to get annoyed and we were getting no where.
"Let me try." I spoke, as I stood up.
"I'm sorry sweetie. But his hits would be harder then yours." Marcus attempted to smile.
"Oh? Is that right? Well. Lucky for you. I never played nice." I said, punching him square in the jaw. "Where's the Right Arm!" I roared in question, punching him again. Making him spit blood.
"Hehe!!" He chuckled. "You can fight. But even the strong can be defeated. You wanna know something? I lure kids in like you and your friends and get them drunk. Till WICKED comes along and you know the rest." He smirked. I was fuming with anger by this point. He was planing to take Thomas back to WICKED!! I wasn't gonna let that happen. I'm not gonna lose my last blood I have left. Bottling that rage inside, I used part of it to round house kick him in the face, making him and the chair fall back. Grabbing a knifes hat I hid in my boot, I knelt onto Marcus chest and held the knife to his throat. "I'll end your life right now. So if you value your life. Tell me right now what we want to know!" I hissed.
"Ok! Ok! I won't make any promises! These guys like to move around a lot." He replied. Looking into his eyes, I seen not a hint of lies, only the fear for him own life. Removing the knife from his throat, I stood up. Jorge and I then grabbed the ropes that boned him to the chair and hoisted him up right. "They have an outpost in the mountains. But it's a long way away. You got half of WICKED on your ass. You're never gonna make it." He said, shaking his head around like his won either way.
"Not on foot." Jorge smirked. Looking at him, I waited to see where this was going. He then slammed both hands on Marcus's shoulders and smiled. "Where's Bertha?" Where's who? Bertha? Who the hells Bertha??
"Not Bertha." Marcus said sadly, trying to hold in his tears from the the thought of losing his precious Bertha. Who the hell is Bertha!? In the end it turned out that Bertha was a truck.
