Chapter Six

Chris sits away from Jennie, his guitar in his lap with headphones on. He grunts every now and again, writing stuff down. His girlfriend makes him some Mac and Cheese, siting on the couch. She sees a cup of guitar picks on the coffee table, a smile on her face. Jennie tosses them at Chris, earning a sound of confusion. He takes his headphones off, setting his guitar down before starting toward Jennie. He scoops her up and tosses her over his shoulder, a squeal echoing through the room. "Put me down!" She giggles, her hair falling over her face as she hangs upside down, still laughing.

Chris lays her on his bed, laying on top of her. "You dork." He says, kissing her face. She turns and jumps on him, laughing loudly. The laughing dies down, Chris looks over Jennies face before kissing her hard. His hips buck up against hers, moaning against her lips.  "Oh god, Jennie." He moans, pushing her back, kissing her neck roughly.

"Please." She gasps back, spreading her legs.
--
Jennie lays on her side, her face smushed against Chris' shoulder, drool running down her chin, soft sounds coming from her mouth. Chris runs a hand through her hair, smiling at the noises. He gently moves her over, the baggy grey button up pooling around her against the black bedsheets. She sighs, curling up.

Chris goes to the kitchen, only wearing low riding sweats, making Jennie a nice breakfast. He makes some eggs and hash browns and some ham, finishing it all with some toast.  He grabs a tray and sets it, carefully putting a glass of orange juice on the corner, a sunflower in his hand.  He goes back to the bedroom and sees Jennie laying awake, looking over at him. "Morning sweetheart." He says softly, setting the tray on next to her.

"You didn't have to do this." She smiles, sitting up, the shirt gaping open, she hasn't put her bra from earlier back on yet, which Chris is completely okay with. He just shrugs, grinning at her.

"I really do love you." He says, biting his lip. Chris plans on taking her to her favorite restaurant with a long walk in the park and proposing tonight.
--
"Jen, get dressed because I'm taking you out tonight." Chris announces, standing at the foot of his bed. "I'll take you home so you can get dressed, okay?"

"Where are we going?" She asks, looking up from her book, her rarely worn glasses sitting low on her nose.

"Just wear something you're comfortable in." He smiles, leaning against the door frame. She stands, her glasses on her head, her book in her hand and wearing just the button up from Chris. He grins even more, turning to walk down to his car, Jennie following.

She leans over and kisses Chris's cheek. "I love you." She whispers, smiling.

"C'mon." He says, offering her hand to her. She takes it and smiles, following him down to his car.
--

Ryan followers her to her room, bombarding her with questions. He shuts the door behind him, crossing his arms. "What do you want!?" She shouts, going through her clothes.

"Where are you going?" He asks, sitting on her bed. "Are you coming home tonight?"

"I don't know where we're going and I don't know if I'm coming home tonight." She rolls her eyes, dressing in fishnet stockings, black platform knee high boots, and a black dress. She goes to her bedside table, grabbing her contacts and solution. "Bye." Jennie says, leaving ryan in her room.

When she returns to the living room, she's stopped by Vinny. "Where are you going?" He asks, a smile on his face.

"Out." His smile grows. "What has you all happy?"

"Nothing." He says, still smiling. "Wait! Here." He takes her hand and shoves a condom into it.

"Vinny!?" She squeals holding it up. "What the fuck!?" He giggles. "I gotta go." She says, going out the front door.
--
Chris takes her to her favorite restaurant, a diner on the other side of town. "What's going on?" She asks, starting to get suspicious.

"Can I not do something for the woman I love?" Chris says back, getting out of the car to open Jennies door for her. She smiles and takes his hand, grinning as they walk into the building. He picks a booth in the front, smiling at her.

"Why is everyone so happy!?" She whines, looking at him. "Am I missing something?"

"You're not." He says, taking her hand. She blushes, looking down at it. "I promise."

--
Chris takes Jennie to the park, the string lights twinkling across the pond. She smiles at him, leaning up to kiss his cheek. "I love you." She says softly. He brings Jennie to the side of the pond, kissing her lips gently before kneeling.

"Jennie Mauro," He reaches in his pocket and takes out a small red velvet box, the object even smaller in his large tattooed hands, "Will you marry me?" Tears roll down her cheeks as she holds a hand to her mouth. He looks up at her while people passing by stop to watch. "Jen?"

She nods quickly, holding her hand out. Chris smiling widely as he slides the simple diamond ring onto her thin finger.  "I love you." He says, picking her up and spinning her around. Applause echoes through the park, Jennies lips against Chris's. "I love you so much."

"I love you too."
--
Chris is sat at the computer, doing some work. Jennie stands against the door frame, dressed in the black lingerie set she brought. She flicks a condom at him, the thin foil package hitting Chris in the side of the head. He looks down at the item, smirking at her as he picks it up. She winks at him, her hand running down her body to her panties before curling a finger for him to follow her.
He picks her up and lays her back on his bed, kissing her hard as he rolls his hips against hers. "I love you so much." He breathes out, his hand on her side.

"I love you too." She says back, her hand tangled in his hair.
--
"Hey Vinny?" Jennie stands in the kitchen, Chris's big baggy black sweater hanging down to her knees. Ryan comes in, a black hat on his head with a hood pulled up, his eyes bloodshot. "I have something to tell you." She keeps her hands in her pockets.

"And what would that be?" He asks, sitting at the table next to Ryan.

"Uh- Chris proposed to me and I said yes." She says, taking her hand out of her pocket.

Vinny hops up and hugs her tightly. "Congrats!" He says happily, kissing the top of her head.

Ryan looks down, frowning. "Yeah. Congrats." He mutters, grabbing a beer.

"Hey, it's a little early for a beer, don't you think?" Vinny comments, earning an angry glare. "Shit dude I'm sorry." Ryan walks off to the front porch, a cigarette between his fingers.

"I wanted you to know first."

"He asked me for permission yesterday." He chuckles, patting her back. "Congratulations." He whispers.

"Thank you." She says happily, looking down at her shiny engagement ring.
