as i made it to my dorm room, i quickly greeted my roommate and plopped onto my bed. the chat was still indicating that this 'yerin' imposter was still typing.
jesus, they must be writing a paragraph or something.
i swear if they don't reply, i'll shove a shoe down their throat.
feeling restless about this whole mess, i continued to wait for a reply. i knew that i wouldn't be able to fall asleep if i didn't receive a single response.
3 AM.
i continued to check the time on my phone as time flew by. it's been around 9 hours and still no response.
my eyes widen as i watched the 'ANNOYERING is typing...' disappeared from my sight.
there was no reply.
i had no energy left to get mad over it.
my finger pressed on the power button on the side of the phone to turn it off and i stared at the ceiling.
well, that meant no more waiting for a response, but i still felt uneasy.
and that kept me awake all night long.

。 october 11th
wednesday"erm... shin seolhee...?"
a quiet, deep voice woke me up from my slumber.
i slightly opened one eye; realizing that i was in the classroom and not in my bed.
"what time is it?" i groan as i shut my eye again.
"it's 10 AM," the voice replied immediately.
it took me a few moments to recall the fact that i fell asleep during class.
i probably passed out as soon as i sat down at my desk and as soon as i heard the teacher begin the lesson.
i remembered that i managed to come to class like a living zombie and the last thing i remember doing before i fell asleep was that i was introducing myself to my new classmates.
"shin seolhee...?" the voice called out to me again.
using my hand, i tried to shoo away the owner of the voice, "leave me alone-.. i didn't get a wink of sleep last night," i complained like a child.
i heard a chuckle.
fluttering my eyes open, i saw a boy standing before me.
one moment he had a grin on his face; revealing a cute snaggletooth, but the next moment he had a straight face once he noticed that i was looking at him.
it seemed that he didn't want me to see him smiling.
"is there something you need?" i blinked my eyes a few times to adjust them to the light.
he scratched his head while avoiding my gaze, "... uhh.. well, the teacher sort of assigned me to be your school tour guide during the next block-," his eyes wandered off to his watch, "-which is now."
"ah okay," i stood up from my desk and followed him outside the classroom.
the boy introduced me to each room inside the school as we walked around. man, i knew that seoul school of perfoming arts was huge, but i didn't expect it to be this huge.
but everytime he introduced me to a place, an awkward silence would always follow after that. i needed to something about it, but i didn't know what to say.
should i ask for his name? that would probably be a good start-
"so, you're the girl from yesterday, right...?" he scratched behind his ear as he casually broke the ice.
oh.
thankfully, he broke the awkward silence, but i didn't understand what he was talking about.did i meet him somewhere yesterday? or was he trying some sort of new pickup line on me? he didn't seem like the type to throw a pickup line like that though.
"uhh what...? do you know me?" i pointed to myself.
".. aren't you the girl who suddenly joined our group chat yesterday...?" he glanced over at me.
i pretended to forget about the whole yerin incident and looked back at him; clapping my hands together in realization, "oH! were you in the chat? which one of them were you?"
i began listing the usernames that i could somewhat recollect from yesterday, "guacamolin? magumagu? wink101? cloud boy? or perhaps... donkey kong?"
"no, i'm-"
"he's the nATION'S DARK PAST!!!" suddenly, a bright, bubbly blonde-haired boy barged into our conversation.
"shut uP DAEHWI!"
that was the first time i've ever heard the snaggletooth boy's voice clearly. it was a fast yet deep voice and i could tell that his seoul accent wasn't completely perfect.
i watched the so-called 'nation's dark past' slap the shoulder of a boy called 'daehwi'.
"all this time, i thought you were an awkward bean. but who knew that you would actually be a violent and loud savage.. you're releasing your true nature," i shook my head in disappointment as daehwi laughed. "you live up to your name, nation's dark past,"
the nation's dark past cleared his throat and looked at me, "i'm not the nation's dark past.. my name is park woojin and i'm a second year just like you... also, i'm the satoori guy on the chat."
i rubbed my chin, "hey, weren't you the shy one in the chat that left right after you introduced yourself?"
woojin immediately went silent after i said that. his ears were turning a bit red causing me to crack a smile.
it was cute.
"he's not shy once you get to know him. i kind of miss him when he was quiet and awkward.. it was cute," daehwi stared at the ceiling.
the eyes of the red-haired boy (A/N: sorry i just miss woojin's red haIR) darted directly at the other boy as if looks could kill.
"but then again woojin hyung is still always uhh.. cute and he's still awkward around people," daehwi forced a smile on his face.
as i was about to say something, i felt two hands cover my eyes.
a voice whispered behind me and i knew it wasn't daehwi or woojin, but another person.
"guess who?"
