i closed the front door and locked it before following everyone else to the living room. some plopped down onto the couch while others onto the ground and we all dropped our bags to the floor.
"we're all gonna sleep in the living room again, right?" daehwi glanced over at daniel who simply nodded in response.
"ok, but i don't want to sleep next to jaehwan," sungwoon groaned.
"what?? why not?????" jaehwan sounded very accused.
"because your snoring is loud; well you're just loud in general," guanlin complained.
jisung shrugged, "he can go sleep by himself in the basement or something."
"that's too cruel. basements are a little creepy," jaehwan pouted a little.
"but i really do feel like daniel's basement is haunted or something like i feel like there's a secret room or something in there. last time when we were here, i heard something strange in the basement along with jihoon," minhyun rested his chin on top of his hand.
then i looked over to see daniel's reaction. his expression remained unfazed, but i swear his hand had twitched a little and seemed to tense up.
"i wouldn't be surprised if there was a ghost living downstairs— ugh, but i'm getting goosebumps just from thinking about it," jihoon shivered.
jaehwan had the smuggest grin on his face, "is mister jeojanghoon scared of ghosts?"
"okay, but you literally said that basements are a little creepy, so you must be scared of something too," the jeojang boy crossed his arms like a petty child would do.
"there's nothing in my basement, so don't worry about anything," daniel grumbled.
"well, okay then," minhyun just shrugged it off cooly.
daehwi spoke up, "well, what do you guys want to do right now?"
"how about a good ol' game of hide and go seek?" the youngest, guanlin, answered wholeheartedly and eagerly.
"well, i don't see why not?" a few of us were willing to agree while of course, the party pooper, daniel kang, was opposed to the idea.
"just one round, king kong—" seongwoo whined before nudging the boy with broad shoulders with an annoying grin creeping onto his lips. "you have nothing to hide anyways, did you make sure to hide all of your naughty stash of books away?"
"first of all, it's donkey kong and second of all, i don't own such books," the pink-haired boy huffed.
"so he accepted his name as donkey kong, interesting." woojin raised an eyebrow in amusement.
"shut up," daniel rolled his eyes. "anyways, fine we'll be playing since i have nothing to hide anyways."
"we need to figure out who's going to be it," i tapped my chin.
"i want to be it," daehwi eagerly raised his hand.
sungwoon volunteered as well, "i'll be it with daehwi, i guess. we'll count to ten starting now, so you all better get up and start scrambling somewhere."
the two boys closed their eyes as everyone else did their best to move quickly, yet quietly to their own designated hiding spots.
"one."
where should i hide?
"two."
hmm, i don't see anyone else heading to the basement.. should i head there?
"three."
or should i go upstairs?
"four, five, six.."
daniel went downstairs and so did guanlin. i already saw jihoon and jinyoung go upstairs, would it be bad if i went there too?
"seven, eight, nine.."
