Luke sat staring at his mechanical hand that was covered by a black glove. He was recalling how he lost it in the first place. The scene has played over and over in his head since it happened. The thought of how it played out haunts him. He thinks how could he have done it differently? Could it have changed? He couldn't forget the torment in Morgana's face. She was obviously conflicted and it hurt Luke that he couldn't do anything to help her. He was also frustrated that she didn't feel like she could talk to him about it.
Luke feared that when they finally found Morgana again that she wouldn't want to come back. He feared she changed too much. Like she didn't feel like she belonged with them or that she didn't want to be a Jedi any longer. And he mostly feared that she had turned to the dark side.
The ship landed back in Mos Eisley space port. They all left the Falcon and entered the desert city. It was still as crowded as ever. They followed Han to a rusty old diner. It fit the theme of the planet with the stucco outside, but the inside was like a classic diner.
Han, Luke, and Leia went in. The others stayed outside.
"I saw her working here the other day." Han explained as they entered.
They took a seat at a table and waited.
"Was she a waitress?" Leia asked.
"No, she was cleaning tables. She was probably a dish washer or something." Han replied. "I don't know if she is still here though. If I had to venture a guess, your friend doesn't want to be found. She would bounce around a lot and not stay in one place long. When I saw her, she could have been here for a day or a week. She could be gone now is what I'm trying to say." Han looked around.
Luke and Leia did the same. "I don't see her." Leia frowned.
"Let's ask." Han said as the waitress approached.
She was an older woman with her blonde hair thrown up in a messy updo. She spoke in Huttese and Han replied in English. "We don't want anything."
"Alright." She replied with a confused yet bland expression.
"Can we ask you something?" Leia asked.
"Sure." She replied, but this time more confused.
"Um...we were wondering if you know a girl named Morgana Westton?" Leia asked.
"No, doesn't sound familiar." She responded with her raspy, hoarse voice. She followed this with a cough and a scratch on the top of her head.
Han leaned across the table to the twins. "She could have used a different name too."
"Right." Leia replied, then turned back to the waitress. "Okay, well she's our friend who has run away from home. Someone said they saw her here. I'll just describe her." Leia made up a fake story. "She has pale skin, gray-blue eyes, and dark brown hair. She tends to wear black." Leia said.
The waitress rubbed her chin and smiled. "Oh, yeah. She worked here. She went by the name Petra." The woman answered.
"Did work here? Where is she now?" Luke asked.
"I don't know. She worked here for a week and then quit." She turned around a gestured to another waiter. "Rowan was good friends with her."
The joyful waiter approached with a grin. He was attracted with brown hair and blue eyes. He had little dimples on his cheeks and seemed way to happy to be on this desert planet working in a diner. Luke suddenly felt slightly jealous especially by the term 'good friend.'
"Hey." He smiled at them with his handsome face.
He had more of a cute kind of handsome, not quite as rugged. He definitely possessed more a boyish charm. His appearance was similar to Luke's in a way except for the hair color.
"These people have some questions for you about Petra." The waitress said as she left the table.
"You guys know Petra?" He asked with a relived smile. "Do you know if she's okay? She hasn't answered any of my messages."
"Rowan, I'm Leia Skywalker." Leia shook his hand.
She was happy to meet a nice guy. His good looks helped her forget about the scruffy looking man she has somehow found herself attracted to.
"This is my brother, Luke." Luke shook his hand with a little reluctance. "And this is Han Solo." Leia said with a less enthusiastic voice and Han shook Rowan's hand.
"The girl you know as Petra is actually our friend Morgana." Leia started. "She ran away and we can't find her. Someone said she was working here, so we came to see if anyone knew where she was." Leia smiled at Rowan.
He was listening internally and was slightly confused about her name reveal. "Okay..." His smile had faded. "Well, she left." Rowan said. "She told me that she had to leave, I didn't really understand why, but I respected her choice. She said she would stay in contact with me, but she hasn't replied." Rowan explained.
"Did she tell you where she was going?" Luke asked with annoyance in his tone.
"Yes." He smiled. "She said she was going to a planet called Felucia." Rowan answered.
"So she was here for a week and left when?" Han asked.
"Two days ago." Rowan responded.
Han looked at the twins. "She should still be on Felucia."
Leia looked back at Rowan. "Thank you. We are going to find her don't worry." They headed out and he followed.
"Wait!" Called out to the group as they exited the restaurant.
Rowan came into the sun to see the larger group.
He swallowed. "I would like to come with you...if I can?"
"Um..." Leia looked around at the group.
No one opposed to it. Leia ignored her brother's displeasure.
"Okay, Rowan." She smiled. "Welcome aboard."
