CHAPTER 7

Jack's POV

Elsa was up next ,to show her powers. She handled it pretty well. She made snow ,an ice sculpture, and a snowman that came to life! She was so beautiful when she looked happy. But suddenly she went into a gaze for about a second and she lost control.

There were huge spikes of ice the place she hit the ground with her powers. I went to her , running.

As I reached, I tried to comfort her but she ignored me and quickly put on her gloves. Then I understood that her gloves were used to conceal her powers as she couldn't control it properly.

Our teacher said to work together, me and Elsa. Because we have similar powers and I could control my powers better than she could with hers. We both agreed but Elsa went away. I tried to follow her but was blocked by the crowd behind.

I finally found her. I asked her where she was going. She answered that she was going home. I said that I was going home too, so I asked her where she lived but she didn't answer.

I understood she didn't feel like talking after what had just happened.

I walked behind her, knowing she wanted some space. I watched her go and saw her going to the street where my house was. She told me to stop following her and I told her that I wasn't. Telling her I live here, pointing towards my house. By that time she already reached her house. I told her we were neighbours. Asking her how cool it was. But she simply replied by saying " Not cool at all. " and she slammed the door, leaving me speechless.

I went up to my house as well. I went straight to my room then I heard something. Almost like the sound of swooshing or almost like a small light blizzard.... I went closer to the sound, held out my head out of my window... only to see Elsa in her room, her room was exactly opposite from mine, I could see her through her window... and her room all covered in ice and frost. She looked scared and started crying on her bed.

Then I knew why she was not very open with people. She was afraid she might hurt someone. I felt like I should help her, It upset me seeing her so... afraid, out of control. I had to help her. I went to bed thinking about Elsa.

I thought to wait for her outside her house the next day and walk to school with her and ask her if I could help her.

The next day

Elsa's POV

I woke up. It was early, about 4:00 in the morning. I was starving , and I remembered I didn't have any dinner last night. So, I went to the kitchen to get some breakfast before I did anything else. I started frying some eggs and bacon, toasted some bread and took out some orange juice from the fridge.

" Hey.... what are ya doing up so early? " I turned around to see Anna yawning with her hair all messed up.

" I slept early yesterday. I was hungry by the time I woke up, so.... here I am, making breakfast. Want some? " I said.

" Sure... ( yawning ) thanks. Hey! By the way.... why did you come home early from school? You didn't have dinner yesterday! That's why you're hungry. Did something happen in school? " Anna asked with concern.

" I don't want to talk about it. " I said.

" Don't do that. C'mon Elsa... You just started opening up to me.. don't back away again. Its better if you get it out of your system... I might be able to help you. " Anna said.

I sighed. " Okay. Promise you won't tell mum and dad? " I said.

" I promise. " said Anna.

I sighed again. " Well... we had one class in which we had to show our powers, what we could do with it and how well we controlled it. Well... I think you know what happened. I controlled it with ease at first and made objects ... I even made the snowman we used to make as kids, and it came to life! It reminded me of you... and the incident that happened. Then, I lost control and huge spikes of ice came out. I could have killed someone , Anna. All my classmates looked at me, freaked out. That's why I came home. Afraid I would hurt someone. " I said.

" Woah... I didn't know you had such a rough day. " said Anna.

" I even met someone with similar powers like mine. " I said.

" Oh my gosh! Who?! " Anna asked excitedly.

" His name is Jack Frost. He's even our neighbour. My teacher told me to practise controlling my powers with him... you know? Cause we have similar powers and all... Jack controls his power really well. " I said

" He's even our neighbour??! Oh my gosh!! Is he cute?? " Anna asked loudly.

" Anna! What the hell?... He could hear us." I said whispering.

" Oh... just answer the question! " Anna said.

" Fine! I do find him a little attractive... Don't you dare tell anyone! " I said whispering.

" Are you friends with him? Did you make any friends?? " said Anna.

" Yeah.. I'm friends with him, I guess. He even introduced me to his friends.. so I guess I made some friends. But I'm not so sure if Jack and I are cool after I lost my temper at him. " I said.

" Why? What happened? " Anna asked with a concerned look on her face.

" He followed me home... I told him to stop following me and told him to go to his home. He said he wasn't following me and said he was going home too, pointing towards his house. He said we were neighbours and asked me how cool it was and I replied that it wasn't cool at all. And I slammed the door. " I again narrated everything that happened.

" He must be upse...." said Anna but I cut her off.

" Could we please eat now? I'm really starving. I'll tell you what you need to know later. " I said.

" Alright , let me help you dress up for school later. " she said.

" Sure. I'd love that. " I said . Then we had our breakfast and we were soon joined by our parents. We finished eating breakfast and I went to my bathroom to clean up. After I was done, Anna came into my room and helped me dress up.

I wore a pale blue coloured skinny jean, a white coloured T with sequence on the shoulder areas and some brown ankle boots with short heels. Anna did a fishtail braid for my hair and let it down on my shoulder. I put on my gloves, just for safety. I took my bag and held it on my shoulder, hugged Anna goodbye thanking her for helping me get ready.

I walked out of the house, and saw Jack. " Hey there. I was hoping we could walk to school together " he said.
