I looked into the mirror. My dark eyes were make-up free for the first time in a week. My black hair was tied up into a ponytail and I was wearing jeans that were tattered and torn. This new look scared me. I had never looked this normal in my life.
"Nia," my servant called. "It is time to go."
I sprinted down the tiled hall. Sonya, one of my very close servants, was standing there waiting for me.
She smiled wide when she saw me. "You look beautiful, Princess Nia."
"Really?" I asked looking at my outfit. I was wearing a blue shirt with jeans and gray sneakers. "You think so?"
"Of course. Now, let's go."
Quickly I snatched my MP3 Player of the table and followed Sonya out the door.>>>>>
The trees over our heads glimmered in the summer sunlight. We were walking to Evergreen, a small town in my kingdom. "Nia," Sonya whispered. "You do know that you need to think of a new name? You cannot stay 'Nia' according to your father."
"Yeah," I said, staring at my sneakers. "I think I am going to be Amber."
She looked at me and lifted my face. "I love it."
We were quiet after that, but a smile was plastered to my face as we walked.
I put my earbuds in and turned to "The Greatest" by Sia.
