❝ mmm, you look so good baby. ❞

the words flowed smoothly out of reece's mouth as he watched sarai walk out of the closet wearing a simple yet cute outfit - a pair of boyfriend jeans that hugged her curves flawlessly and a small tank top.

she looked down at the floor, trying to hide the wide smile that was forming on her face. "thank you."

her phone that was on the freshly made bed began to ring, causing both of them to look over at it curiously. sarai walked over to it and pressed answer when it said briana across the screen.

"what's up?"

briana's voice spoke, "please please please tell me you're coming to the bonfire tonight."

"yes yes yes i am." sarai laughed, more to herself than anything causing reece to laugh as well.

"okay good. i invited derin and i told him to bring a friend for you-"

"actually," she cut her off. "i'm all good. reece is here with me."

the other line was silent. the thought of being with any other man rather than reece was displeasing to sarai's mind. she had gotten hooked on the boy, that's for sure.

she finally spoke. "reece...as in reece who lives on the other side of the world?!"

just as excitingly, sarai nodded her head even though she couldn't see and giggled loudly. "yes!"

"oh my gosh," briana exclaimed. "how did this even happen? when did this even happen?"

as sarai sat down, causing the bed to wrinkle and crease from it's previous perfection of being made, reece began to exit the bedroom. her eyes followed him until his body disappeared past the door.

she leaned her head back as she held the phone near her ear. "we had been talking about him coming to los angeles for awhile now and he finally came yesterday."

"mhmm," sarai could practically see the smirk on briana's face in her mind already. "i'm sure he did come yesterday."

it took awhile for sarai to understand what she meant by that, but when she did, she let out a gasp as her mouth hung open. "you are so nasty!"

briana's loud laughter was all sarai could hear for a good 10 seconds. "bitch, you ain't denying it either so that's how i know y'all did some nasty shit already with the few hours he been here."

"i swear, i can't with you."

"you already gave him the full LA experience-"

"bri, shut up!" she laughed, throwing her head back. "you better not be on your bullshit when we're at the bonfire."

"no promises, sarai, no promises."

the bonfire was large and alive, sparks cracking into the dark starless sky. people huddled close to the fire while others were in groups nearby. large speakers were propped by a pair of beach chairs that were taken by two six-foot males with equally dark brown skin.
