Chapter 4~Heartbraking? Or Misunderstanding?

"I'll get the Chocolate Chip flavored milkshake, Donald Duck." I teased making the duck face. Everyone bursted out laughing. Well, I think I looked bad making the duck face but, who cares?

Wait, I remembered that Michael and I had the same flavor of milkshake. And I thought that he hates chocolate? Why is he confusing me? Maybe he's just that crazy.

I started to give out a giggle. Suzanne, Klara and Jude started giving me a what-is-going-on-with-you look. Well I, Artemis Monroe ignored them.

The drinks were here and I get weirded out lately on Artemis. She has like her own world. Oh Michael. THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! I would do my best to protect her.

As an eagle would protect its eggs, and a bear to protect its cubs, I would protect Artemis from all harm.

She's like a sister to me. Wouldn't the name Artemis sound precious?

"Earth to Suzanne!" Jude said snapping me.

"Whatever boss." I said sticking my tongue out. Jude started pouting. Now his boss look went away and turned into a cute little pig.

I saw Artemis repeatedly mixing the milkshake while daydreaming. The cream was COMPLETELY dissolved.

Is she crazy? I remember that Artemis and Mikey had the same flavor of milkshake. She's totally in love with him. We have to go to California as quick as possible.

Am I really crazy? I meant, is Michael too much for me? I got a sip from my drink. It tastes so good!

I saw Courtney and Ben going up to me. They're holding hands? They're couples already? Never mind! They're a perfect couple!

They stood up in front of me and showed me a picture of Trisha and Michael.

Trisha was cupping the cheek of Michael with a concerned look on her face.

"WHAT?!" He wouldn't do this to me!

"Well, that's what we saw. Trisha and Michael in the Café." Ben said while Courtney was nodding.

I knew it! He was cheating on me!

"Wait! Lemme see!" Suzanne said. I handed to her the picture. She became shocked. I started crying so hard.

"No.. Michael won't do that! Maybe that was just a misundersta-"

"Suzanne. How would you even know a-about his life? He's cheating on me!" I said. Why would he do this to me? I got my bag and ran out of Starbucks.

I sobbed too much that I whimpered. I ran to my house. What a playboy! I went into my bed and placed my softest pillow on my face. And then I screamed.

That insensitive jerkpid!

I feel like punching that girls face! But, it wasn't her fault. It's Michael's. Why is he like this to me?

I got out the picture of me and Michael. Our foreheads together. We were smiling. I ripped the pic into 4 pieces and threw it on the carpeted floor.

I knew it all along! He was just going to cheat on me. I shouldn't have trust him. He's just a ******e. It's the first time I've ever said a badword.

My soul isn't anymore jolly and cheesy. It became all dark and sad.

Why do you have to do this Michael?

***THE NEXT DAY***

I feel bad about what is happening to Emi. That stupid stupid guy. He'll pay for it.

*beep* *beep*

My phone rang.

"Hello? Who's this?"

"Hi. It's Michael."

I tighten the grip on my iPhone.

That stupid jerk!

"What the heck do you want! Jerkpid!"

"Artemis is not answering her phone."

"You cheated her! You just went to California to go with Trisha."

"What do you mean? Connor was there too!"

"Ben and Courtney showed us of you and Trisha alone in the Cáfe!"

"What?! We were alone coz Connor had to order something. Trisha went cupping my cheek because she was sorry."

"About what?!"

The flames producing in my body were growing everytime he would speak.

"She said that she has to let me go because Artemis and I love each other. She thought that Artemis was taking me away."

"Whatever. You broke her heart! She won't answer even if I call her. We planned to go to Cali but after seeing the picture... she just ran away."

"But... it was just a... misunderstanding"

He hesitantly said.

"If your band is done performing, you have to pay her a visit."

"But--"

I placed the phone down and cut him off. I heard enough.
