In a sudden swift movement, Chloe burst out crying whilst burrowing her face in her hands.

"How could he do this to me?!" She screamed. Jonah fidgeted beside me, remaining mute and not speaking of his secret relationship with Jonah. "He promised me he would stay with me, he told  me everything would be okay!" She stormed over to Evelyn's bookcase and tore her numerous novels from the wooden shelves. I immediately followed her and grabbed her arms. I told her to stop ruining the room, trying to keep Evelyn's presence pure. I restrained her as she struggled under my grip. She released herself and flung towards the bathroom, throwing all the belongings to the floor. Coconut shampoo struck the tiles and the psychotic blonde forced a couple of photo frames towards the wall causing them to smash under pressure. Jonah unwillingly embraced the emotional girl as she sobbed into his mauve sweater.

"Look I understand your upset, but you can't just freak out like that!" I yelled at her.

She looked at me, a bewildered glassy look in her mossy green eyes. "Can't I just freak out? You don't understand my position Charlie!"

"Guys calm down, I think our main goal is to find the information on the laptop!" Jonah exclaimed, he let go of Chloe, she slumped to the dirty floor and hid her sodden face between her skinny knees. The Aussie started trekking through his best friends files, wincing at the sight of the desktop photograph. At first it hurt looking through the documents, we would find old essays from the beginning of the school year, and old pictures of her and her friends when they were younger. We came across a folder of lots of pictures from her Prom.

"She's gorgeous isn't she?" Jonah stated.

I nodded in response and kept flicking through the images. The first was of her and a guy at Prom, she wore a white dress that hitched in at her slim waist and flowed down to her ankles. It contrasted well with her hair that hung in loose waves. I can't say I wasn't jealous of the guy she was with, because I was. I was extremely jealous. I would have done anything to have spent that night with her.

"I'm sick of mourning for her. I just want to see her again." He whispered.

"You can't mourn someone that isn't dead..." I replied raising my eyebrows as if to say 'don't be stupid'.

Trying to avoid looking through the pictures as much as possible we continued to search the hard drive. We came across a file titled 'Escape Plan'.

I gave Jonah a concerned look. He replied with a stiff nod and I double clicked the icon. Suddenly an abundance of documents filled the screen and both of our eyes lit up with excitement. The documents ranged from a diary, to train times. There was also a hotel reservation booking for The Grand Hotel in Scarborough. We found the address on the email and luckily we would get there in time for her departure on the 17th of June, only a week from now.

"We've still got a week to bring her back Charlie, we have to go and get her!" Jonah exclaimed.

I nodded. "When shall we go?"

"When do you think we should go?" He asked jumping off the bed and walking across the room with a highly arrogant smirk plastered over his face. I couldn't understand why anybody wouldn't smack him. He could be extremely obnoxious almost constantly, and I'm pretty sure if I was strong enough I would knock his lights out. He almost tripped over Chloe as she was now silently embracing herself on the floor.

"Tonight then!" I replied, raising my head so I didn't seem so unsure. "I mean, we barely even turn up to our lectures anymore, we won't exactly be missed by anyone."

He bit his bottom lip and thought about it for a second. "Okay...". He shook the curly haired, lifeless blonde that was situated on the carpet. "Chloe we're going to get Evelyn tonight, we know where she is. You don't have a choice, you're coming"

She sniffled and got on her feet, she bowed her head in dismay and spoke in a shaky voice. "I- I need to tell you guys something..."

"What?" Jonah questioned, boredom struck his voice and I gave him a cold look to say 'be more sympathetic'.

"I found out this morning, I'm so scared!"

"Spit it out!!" Jonah sighed before apologising after receiving another one of my looks.

She sat on the bed and wiped her face with the sleeve of her sweater. "I'm pregnant!"

We both stared at her in shock, Jonah in dismay. He left. Without a word, or a mumble, or so much as a nod to assure us that he was okay. He stormed out of the room. Chloe looked shocked, but I knew that he left because he knew that it would be Mitch's baby. Chloe wasn't the type of person who would sleep around. I wish we could say the same for Mitch. I suspected that Chloe was feeling even more distressed because we had just found a picture of him kissing Evelyn. She lay sprawled out on the fusty duvet cover and I joined her, I tried to tell her everything would be okay, but I wasn't exactly sure myself. Because Mitch was dead, and that mean't that Chloe was by herself. She told me that she definitely didn't want to abort the child, but she couldn't imagine trying to bring a baby up on her own.

"Why do we cry Charlie? I mean, what's the point, it doesn't make us feel better about the situation. If anything it unease's our breathing yet again?" She questioned.

I shrugged. "Perhaps we cry to wash the sorrowful images from our eyes..."
