Mal's POV
It's show time for the boys tonight and I won't lie, I'm a little worried for Jay and his part but I won't let it show
I got up and Jay was still out cold
I smiled but I decided to get him up anyhow
"Get up baby boy it's showtime" I whispered and he just snuggled into me more
"5 more minutes" he groaned and I chuckled
"Babe, you can't ok? It's rehearsals before the show and you need to go" I explained
He just looked at me from my neck and I knew what he wanted so I kissed him
"So, are you going to get up" I asked
"I don't want to but I have to" he sighed
"It's fine, just remember, I do too. It's not like I'm gonna fall back asleep no matter how much I want to" I giggled
"Yeah you do look really tired, more tired than I look" he realized
"I was songwriting all last night cause my stupid manager wants another song written and he doesn't care about my feelings/schedule" I huffed sitting down at the desk
"Honestly if I were you, I'd get a manager that cares for your schedule/feelings" he said rubbing my back
"You're so right" I laughed
"Honestly, do like an interviewing process or something" he explained hugging me
"Thanks Jay" I smiled kissing him
"You're welcome baby now lets go" he smiled grabbing my hand and we headed to the studio
"We are here" I announced
"Ahh the happy couple" Marcus teased and I rolled my eyes at him
"Can I speak to Mallory Baudin" a girl asked and I looked a bit confused but followed her
She directed me to a room and there was my manager, Randy
"What are you doing here Randy" I asked
"Um I don't want you doing this job anymore" he said in a duh tone
"Oh no! You do not get to take this job away from me" I growled
"Well too bad, in my contact it says I have control of your career" he yelled
And I don't know how I got this much confidence but I went up to him, took the contract and ripped it
"What contract" I smirked
He looked pissed and I stood there with a confident ass look on my face
"I don't need you to produce music. I have me, my equipment, and friends" I explained
"What are you saying" he said squaring up to me
"You're fired" I said the two words he never wanted to hear
"Fuck you" he sneered
"Right back at ya psycho" I retorted
And then, he hit me. Hard
"Ow" I screamed and security heard dragging him out in handcuffs
I just sat on the ground, shocked at what just happened
"You ok" Emma asks coming in the room
"My ex manager just hit me" I sighed
"Oh my god" she said in shock and hugged me
And I just cried out of frustration
"Jay's in rehearsal right now" Nick said and I nodded
I saw Chance sitting around and he saw me and his dad instincts triggered and he hugged me
"I heard what happened, you ok" he asked
"Yeah, just stressed and frustrated" I sniffled
"Tell Jay what happened after he gets out" Chance advised
"Thanks Chance" I smiled
"Anytime Mal, you're just like a sister to me" he responded
Then Jay came out of rehearsal and he smiled but then saw the massive bruise on my cheek and got mad
"Who did this to you" he growled
"My manager but security already took him" I sniffled
"Did you fire him" Jay asked
"Yes and it felt great" I laughed
"That's my girl! Did you do anything else, give me the full story" he smiled as we sat down
"So here's what happened. Right before you went in, the producer called me back and there was my manager in the room. He tried taking this job away from me and I lost it telling him he couldn't do that. He said that in his contract so I *starts laughing* went up to him, grabbed the contract, tore it in half and said, what contract? He looked pissed so I said I don't need you to produce music when I have equipment, friends, and me to help out with my career. So he told me what are you saying, I said he was fired and he squared up to me looking pissed, he sneered fuck you and I said right back at ya psycho and he hit me" I explained
"Nice job with dealing with that. I'm proud of you" he smiled and went to get ready for tonight as did I
While I was getting my hair done, I decided to go on my website and try and get people to apply to be my new manager by creating a little section to apply and then got my makeup done
