"Toby stop!!!" I scream laughing as Toby pulls me down onto the ice.
"I fell, I'm sorry!" He puts his hands up in defense, laughing.
"You mean you just decided to give me cold ass!" I roll my eyes, trying to standing up.
"Well, that was quite funny too....OK OK IM SORRY!" He backs down as I try to push him again. We are skating together, talking and laughing and messing around when suddenly a boy crashes into me and skates away. I nearly lose my balance when Toby grabs my hand and pulls me close to his chest. I look up to him, as he looks around for the boy in anger.
"Shhh, it's okay I'm fine." I whisper.
"He could of hurt you!" He tells me.
"But he didn't." I smile, pulling his face to look at mine.
We look into each other's eyes, until I look away. "Lets go get some food!"Later after dinner, we headed back to my house. We went up to my room, and I asked what he wanted to do.
"We could play a board game?" He asks.I pull out the board games I have and lay them on the bed. I stare at scrabble. I remember I used to play this all the time with Melissa. I lifted it up and opened it up to see that it still look, good as new. "Do you wanna play scrabble?" He asks. I smile at him and start to set up the game.
An hour later, we are still playing, laughing our heads off. "When is this game going to end?!" I laugh.
I set down the word "Glyceraldehyde."
"With the c on the double letter is it 32 points plus the triple word score gets me 96 points!"
He leans in "Goofball' you can put down 104 points for me. Thanks for the G, I've been waiting for it"
I stare at him, confused. How?
"18 points times the triple word score plus the 50 point bingo bonus"
"Oh...104 points, good for you!" I laugh but a little annoyed that he won, I'm usually the best at this game!"I think I'm gonna head home now!" Toby turns to me, as the credits for 'The Notebook' play. "Sure." I give him a small smile.
I walk him to the door and stand there smiling like an idiot. "Thanks for the great night, it was fun to kick your ass at scrabble." I roll my eyes and wave goodbye as he walks down the pathway. Then he stops and turns round back up the pathway and kisses me on the lips. The kiss was short but passionate. He pulls away, smiling, then walks off. I'm smiling like a bigger idiot now but the smile starts to fade, at the thought of the scrabble insult.
"It wasn't a complete ass kicking, by the way!" I call to him.
"Goodbye Spencer!" He looks over his shoulder laughing, still walking.I laugh to myself and watch him drive away, as I close the door. Still blushing by the kiss.
